Newcastle bought a load of players in who took people by surprise then where found out and didn't have the bottle for it. No similarity to us and no chance of anything other than a top 7 finish. lets face it we finished sixth with a misfiring forward, a load of injuries, a load of bad luck and a manager with other things on his mind.

newcastle didn't buy over the summer, it was their january signings that kept them up as well as martinez's inability to adapt and determination to play football that doesn't work in the premier league...

Extremely disappointed to be honest. He will get my backing but seems like we have gone through all this to pick the easy option. My worry is his defence minded tactics and when you look at that Wigan team they should have stayed up, worse teams in the league than them. Hope he proves me wrong.

Can you imagine trying to sign a top player at Wigan? Not exactly an enticing prospect is it. Judge him on his Everton signings, challenging for the top six is a better bargaining tool than bottom 6

Gibson does think that David Moyes will return to Everton to poach a few players, but he’s not sure who, and says that he doesn’t think he’ll be making a return to Old Trafford in the near future.

I just don't understand. Why can't our players just shut up and stop talking to the press? Then, they might say their interviews had been taken out of context.

I'm sorry but we were never a wigan, we are massive compared to Everton. I don't buy that argument, plus Moyes was blessed with the Rooney money to make signings.

it doesnt matter we were a ****e team when moyes took over with no money and ****e players, history means naff all when your in that position, Moyes used what limited resources where available and signed quality players from unknown clubs, Martinez hasnt which is a major issue with our limited budget, Moyes built his teams to be rocks in defense and with a bit more money signed players like pienaar and mirallas to add the flair, Martinez is attack attack attack and ****e defending which is another major issue.

you say some fans are acting like Kopites yet this is exactly Kopite behaviour- trying to polish a turd "well Martinez got relegated BUT laaaa he never had milk in his tea so thats why he got relegated" its all excuses
