newcastle didn't buy over the summer, it was their january signings that kept them up as well as martinez's inability to adapt and determination to play football that doesn't work in the premier league...
was talking about the players they bought to finish near the top previous year. not disputing that should a manager come in, rip our team apart and buy flash in the pan replacements then it would be a bad idea, not going to happen though. worse case scenario is he tries to get players trying out a style that doesn't suit them, this usually means a manager learns to adapt or is pushed out. look at the long ball game Rodgers has learnt to use. If you want to bet we will finish outside the top 7 then happy to take it on

it doesnt matter we were a ****e team when moyes took over with no money and ****e players, history means naff all when your in that position, Moyes used what limited resources where available and signed quality players from unknown clubs, Martinez hasnt which is a major issue with our limited budget, Moyes built his teams to be rocks in defense and with a bit more money signed players like pienaar and mirallas to add the flair, Martinez is attack attack attack and ****e defending which is another major issue.

you say some fans are acting like Kopites yet this is exactly Kopite behaviour- trying to polish a turd "well Martinez got relegated BUT laaaa he never had milk in his tea so thats why he got relegated" its all excuses

Loads of crap, Lets say we have the same wage budget at Wigan, Moyes would struggle as well. We pay 68 million a year, Wigan pay 38 million a year. We were ****e but still massive, players knew us. Wigan are a club who just won the F.A cup for the first time ever. Martinez rivals this season like Villa and Sunderland spends millions on a striker last season, Martinez had to look for one on coppers. The club is down because of MONEY not Martinez. Villa were 20 million in red this season, so were sunderland and wigan made a 2 million profit this season on signings, that why they are down. Its the same as Moyes who cannot take us to the next level cos of money, not his ability.

Best of luck Roberto and welcome to Everton, I ask two things of you as manager of this great club and you'll be alright by me.

1) Maintain our position as a top ten premier league club throughout your tenure.

2) Win us one of them shiny silver things, it's been far, far too long a wait for all of us here.
