never ****ged his team off in the media but he brought a lot of new things to the team like before night games he would change training times to evening training sessions and through what i heard the things he done behind the scenes with training sports science etc was different class,he ahead of the times and you could do a lot worse with the prehistoric managers that do the rounds

Ahead of his many other positives, this is probably the main plus for me. As someone posted before, he's intelligent and hard working, those 2 qualities will take him halfway there.

yeh.... but you didn't say that something about "NO-ONE is excited" - when plenty are absolutely delighted (me included) if the deal is done.

Sorry, I'll rephrase if I may?

15% of Everton fans are happy to see Roberto"Recently relegated" Martinez.

I am made up, I've wanted him all along and I have always believed he would get the job.

He is exactly what we need.

Agree entirely there's a hundred identakit Moyes clones - we need to try something different to have a chance of winning something.

I would be satisfied if we got Martinez. There aren't many other candidates out there who I have any knowledge on so he would be best of the rather limited bunch we have to choose from.

He will definitely need time, I can see next season being average at best in terms of league finish and cup runs as he finds his feet with new expectations and a new set of players. Unless there is a major problem I think he will get the time he needs since I think Kenwrong will be looking to replicate the stability we had under Moyes.

Hopefully this is all sorted this week. It will be a great benefit to us if Martinez gets the whole pre-season and transfer window.

So, out of the three (top three) he has less than 15% of the votes, barely half that of the leaders. He isn't a favourite, he isn't what anyone would have chosen given the choice, yet we are seemingly half way done.

i can't get excited about a third place winner.

Bryan speaking quite a bit of sense there b) No wonder I agree with him

You realise Dave "[Poor language removed]" Whelan is just making up ****.
This news aint official it's just left-wing communist propaganda backed up by big business.
If he was in talks it would be on the Everton Website.
The pathetic fool Whelan is just trying to profit from the appointment.

I can't say I'm excited by any of the candidates (including the Porto manager), but Martinez is no way a bad appointment. Probably for outsiders lookng in the most obvious one.

But the important thing is that of he is our manager, then we get behind him, give him a chance and let him make a few mistakes.

CAN WE WRITE ROBERTO A POEM.
Here is a poem written by myself.

Roberto guide Everton to the champions league

Now that I've brought you a box of small turtles,

i will always be standing before you with tongues

Arm yourself when the Frog God smiles.
