dunno if this clever jokings, but why wont he improve?
I accept he could improve, but I would stake my left testicle on that not being the case.

I thought he made his decision because of Moshiri at the start of the window.Just read his interview with Thierry Henry which I think will be broadcast before tonight's game. It was one of the most open interviews I've ever read as he plainly admits he messed up for the last few months of last season and he wasn't good enough. He also shows great respect to his manager 'Mr Koeman' and states he had a big influence on him staying here after the first week of training. It's on the sky sports news app if anyone else wants to read it too.
He came across really well there, quite humble in fact. I had hoped he would have signed the new contract by now but at least he is holding his hands up and acknowledging that he needs to work harder.Really, really good to see this interview.

Agree with nearly every word. It's massive to see him acknowledge his faults in regards to his overall impact on the team play and his consistency.

His agent has effectively said that it was Moshiri who persuaded him to stay and play a big part in the new Everton. Playing for a man of the stature of Koeman is also bound to have helped him get his head down and back working. The only thing was the obvious lie about deciding when he met Koeman - truth was he was told he wasn't going by Moshiri, plain and simple.
Everything else I'm fine with. He won't sign a new contract, he'll be gone next summer - my guess will be around £50m and we'll spend massive in January and the Summer to prepare for life without him.
... or Moshiri sells him and pockets the profit and we "net spend" about a fiver again, either/or.

Depending on where we are of course but If Moshiri thinks we are safe and an offer comes in January then I think he might go just to get maximum coin. The only thing was the obvious lie about deciding when he met Koeman - truth was he was told he wasn't going by Moshiri, plain and simple.

Then I think we will replace him in the summer with someone decent, a Deeney level player and use the rest to strengthen the squad especially CB and CM.
He's not the type mate. Naismith would have done a job under Koeman. At times, it's a pity he was soldkoeman wants rom to defend from the front.don't know if he can be that type of player or if he has the fitness levels to do it.
ya no way is he going to be hassling and running around up front without the ball and hard to see him being taught it now because he just isn't that type of player and need excellent fitness for that kinda thing. He's not the type mate.
