He only scores against the rubbish clubs, terrible player!

“I read some stories in the press about January, but no way, no way,” Koeman declared.

“Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona... he stays until at least the end of the season.”
He added: “That needs to be the next step for him but we, as Evertonian people, can be proud that he made that step. But let’s score goals and that is best answer he can give.”
WTF!

Sorry, but I dont want to hear an Everton manager saying that, ever.

Koemans not bothered, he is all about himself.

Not that I'm saying the previous Manager was any good in the end, or Koeman isn't doing a good job so far, but I just have this difficulty in believing Big Ron gets us like Roberto did.
Really bad reading that for me. Real bad.

"We can be proud he made that next step...".

FFS., the Kopites read that and they'll be pissing themselves.

Someone needs to have a word with him. He must see us like an Ajax man views Twente Enschede or some such no mark Dutch club.

More worryingly, a slap in the face of those comments from the likes of Sasha that we are looking to compete on field. As I said, really bad reading that.

I thought that when I read it too.

I like a guy who tells the truth but sometimes the truth is better left unsaid.

He may be a good coach/manager but it's clear from that statement that he doesn't yet get the club or it's fans.. I'm not going to knee jerk react to it though. The longer he stays with us the more he get's to know us, and his attitude towards us may or may not change. I think most of us knew what type of person we were getting with Koeman and that he was using us as a stepping stone in his career, and he obviously believes that is equally acceptable for players. Which is fine. But no need to say it openly.

My hope and expectations are that he helps move the club up to the next level over the next couple of years, at which stage somebody like Unsy, a real Evertonian, can take over. Probably a pipedream I know!!
