The system doesn't suit him but, let's be honest here, he's a bang average forward.

His all-round play is meh, and his hold-up technique is shocking. When he's got a hard-on he can be unstoppable, but he only gets up for it every now and then.

Chelsea didn't rate him, and I've watched him in person for Belgium 4 or 5 times and yet again he flatters to deceive.

If someone offers us the dosh to break even we should do so.

I stand by to be slaughtered but he's honestly not that great.

Wasnt on beast mode tonight and we needed him on it. But the service to him was shocking. Barry changed the game as with him we sit too deep and lukaku is then isolated with 3 around him look at liverpool. If they got the ball up you have at least 3 players close to each other.

he was crap tonight. Literally if your eyes work and you are a human being with a brain it was plain to see he was absolutely crap. Major flaws in his game that we all know about, so we need either someone right next to him or sell him. Of someone offers 45m+ you sell him and start again. You can't play 1 up top when that 1 up top can't trap a ball and then that ball just bounces back and we are having to defend within 5 seconds.

His touch isn't great , but why play that way when we know that?

Because we don't have the players. We don't have a creative mid. So what's more likely? Barkley turning into Silva overnight or Lukaku learning how to do a basic footballing thing?

People say he's isolated with no support, however how can you expect players to fly forward to support him and run off him when he loses the ball so often.

Baines always said he could play he ball to Pienaar and sprint past him as he knew Piennar would keep possession and he wouldnt be caught out of position.

You cant rely on Rom holding the ball up so players wont break their neck trying to support him as they will be caught out of position 8 times out of 10.

Playing an entire back 4 with your back to goal is not a basic footballing thing though. We're asking Lukaku to do a job even a player who's actually good at hold-up play would struggle to do.

It's Barkley that struggles to do the basics and once again has let us down. He wasn't even in the position to do the basics right. Valencia and Lennon get a pass due to their lack of actual ability.

Like we'd have never got the £40 millions for Stones, Lukaku is a brilliant player - gets absolutely no service, plays in a system he doesn't suit yet will probably bang 20 goals again this season.

Playing an entire back 4 with your back to goal is not a basic footballing thing though. We're asking Lukaku to do a job even a player who's actually good at hold-up play would struggle to do.

If he could get off one successful pass to an attacking player and make a run, he'd find far more opportunities facing the goal. It isn't jumpers for goalposts here, he can't just hang out beside the post waiting for "service". Honestly can't wait till we get rid of this lad

I agree, we have nobody to replace him with. Nobody to put pressure on his place in the team. He's there by default. I am utterly convinced that we will not be able to move forward as a team while this lad is here.

I've never seen a striker with a worse first touch. Yes he gives you goals time by time but in all the other aspects he's just as overrated as Ross. Get rid of them in the summer and buy players who have technique and brains, it will make our attack so much better.
