United are going down the old Real Madrid Galacticos model. One huge signing every summer. It's Griezmann this year.

Arsenal don't spend the sort of money we will be demanding, plus there's a very big chance that they won't even be in CL next year.

I can't see Lukaku being a Conte type player either.

In de nieuwe overeenkomst is geen vastgelegde transfersom voorzien, maar Everton heeft wel de toezegging op papier gedaan dat ze bij een miljoenenbod van een eliteclub (Real Madrid, Barcelona en de Engelse top) mee zullen werken.
Een zomertransfer is dus niet uitgesloten. De onderhandelingen tussen Lukaku en Everton liepen al een tijdje. Sinds november van vorig jaar. De spits droomt nog altijd van een grotere club dan Everton en Champions Leaguevoetbal, maar heeft in afwachting van de juiste club geen bezwaar tegen een verlengd verblijf. Verwacht wordt dat hij nu toch snel tekent."

Translation of the important bits: They are hoping to officialize the 5 year contract this week. The new contract does not contain a release clause, but Everton has promised (on paper) that they will cooperate when a transfer offer is received from an elite club (definition: Real Madrid, Barcelona and the English top clubs).

Well not really; cause there is no set number. It's an obligation of means. They promise to cooperate; legally very fuzzy stuff. Something like that shows that there is a lot of faith between parties.
