If he signs - he gets a bumper pay rise and can be part of this project as the main man for us and I presume a release clause would be inserted for him to join an established elite CL club if they come in for him
If he doesn't sign - he runs the risk of us selling him to absolutely anybody and peaking too early or failing to live up to expectations with the heavy transfer fee.
Not many players who have left us have been better off for it.
Whatever happens, we move forward.
We are absolutely no closer to starting it than we were this time last year.Do you really think he gives a toss about a project that's going to take years to come to fruition and even then has no garauntee of ever coming to anything ?
I doubt any of our players care too much abut this "project" as it can't really be realised until a stadium is actually built, and that's going to be a few years down the line at best.
Of course he'd give a toss mate. It managed to convince Koeman, Williams, Bolasie and Schneiderlin to come and it's not just the stadium, we're building a decent team and we're aspiring to challenge for top 4 which is what he ultimately wants.Do you really think he gives a toss about a project that's going to take years to come to fruition and even then has no garauntee of ever coming to anything ?

Argument void.

If he only has a year or two left on the contract would he fetch 60million?
He also openly admitted he joined because of the project and he's mentioned quite a few times.im fairly sure money convinced koeman tbh, he openly admitted leaving Southampton because their offer to him was very poor and said if they had made a good offer he'd have probably of stayed.
Williams and Bolasie joined because Everton was a step up from where they had been previously playing, Swansea and Palace... Fairly sure we could have attracted both without selling them the "project".
Schneiderlin had two options, west brom or us...
Lukaku doesn't want to be in a team that aspires to be in top 4, he wants a team who is in the top 4... Plus he'd blatantly rather be at a glamour club like Chelsea or United for countless other reasons.
Imagine you're him, the reasons to stay at Everton are non existent relative to the reasons to leave.
ahh the esk, on a serious note has anything he said ever come true?
