Romelu Lukaku

I would not rule out a move to Italy, huge sell on clause, maybe a player we buy on the "cheap", is he not Pogba's agent??? He moves and juve could buy rom, easily....and then sell him on in 2 seasons for even more.

Dunno mate, lets say for arguments sake that we don't go lower than 60m for him - which honestyly is the least i could see us demanding, Juve would have to smash the 15 year old transfer record for the country by 25m pound, just don't see it happening, even if they sell Pogba for silly money then Italian footies history shows they just won't go anywhere close to what we will want for him - and with 3 years left the club still has the power in this.

Don't get me wrong i do think he will stay for this season - but i also think the manger will go which will aid that, and If Lukaku is more concerned with the CL than the level of the league and PSG come in then he will be off like a shot no doubt about it, other than that though - the money we paid and the huge finances now rolling into the premiership have massively reduced the available number of clubs to a very small amount - Germany and Italy are just priced out, leaving 2 clubs in spain who have paid anythign remotely close to the fee we'd want, 1 in france and 3 in England - all 3 of which would have to break their own and the countries transfer record to buy him - IS he rated highly enough for Germany or Italy to break their record by 25m pound or for chelsea and city to do so by 10-15m?

By paying so much for him initially at his age - we have actually made it exceptionally difficult for him to move on from us bizarrely

5th is the same as 17th. Utterly useless.

It's all about winning things. Trophies. Real trophies. Not 7th Place trophies or Best of the Rest trophies. ACTUAL shiny silver trophies.

The history books dont care about 5th. No one remembers the losers.

Even in your world, that is the most pathetic set of words strung together to form a sentence I think I have ever read.

5th gets you European football, 17th doesn't.

Stop talking out of your hairy cat flap.

Excluding the Big 3 in Barca, Real and Bayern, he'd be foolish to leave the English League...the place to be. And we aren't going to sell him to any English club this Summer I wouldn't have thought.

Who is going to pay that huge fee in Italy?

Yes, he'd be crazy to leave the rain, sleet and winds for a warmer climate. living on brewsters and playing CL football. PSG or Juve written all over it this one!

French League is poor, no Italian team will pay 60m I wouldn't think.
This is the best League in England. Only the big 3 or England for me. The outsider would be Dortmund.

As i said mate the Italian transfre record was set in 2001 and stil stands at 35m quid - and they havent ever approached those levels of spending sicne the country went into financial meltdown - even Napoli with a mega rich owner only paid 34m for Higuain - whose rep i would say was at least as high as Luakaku's is (probably a fair buit higher in relaity) - can't see one fo them suddenly ponying up 25m more than any Italian club has ever paid for a player before

You mentioned Bayern - similarly - the German transfre record stands at 31m pound - the Javi Martinez contract buy out from Bilbao, Bayern specialise on bending over other German teams and taking their top talent for 'German league prices', don't see why or how they would suddenly smash that model they have stuck with forever and pay close to 30m than the german transfer record for lukaku - similarly it becomes laughable that Dortmund have even been suggested - almost as comical as last years Wolfsburg rumours

IF he goes it would be to Madrid (impending transfre ban incoming), Barca (financially supposed to be in a huge mess), PSG (French league), United, Chelsea (both unlikely to be CL next season) or City - all those teams have huge negatives to why or if they could get a deal over the line for him - given what the player wants and the current state of their teams

I've basically said your last paragraph mate. But I think the French League will be a mistake/just a stepping stone for him. At 22 he won't get better there.
We won't sell to any English team will we? Very doubtful. That doesn't leave many options.

I always think that Rom was extremely narked about not being given much of a chance at Chelsea. Comments he made during his loan seasons at WBA and then Everton were about doing well and so convincing Chelsea that he had a future there and wanted to prove himself with them. I wouldn't be surprised if the desire to return to Chelsea and show them what they gave up is still there.

I'm sure 250K a week CL footy and slotting for fun domestically will help him over that little problem, it has Zlatan!

IF it was just about money mate then all the top players will soon be playing in China - whereas in reality some second level players have already knocked them back (Yarmolenko for example)

Unless im mistaken Zlatan has won the Italian league six times, won the spanish league once and went to France aged 31 for a massive payday mate, if he'd gone at 22-23 then yeah could see the similarity, also he had a career of bouncing around every two or three seasons all through his career

It's not just about the money though when / not if he goes to PSG IMO.

Nailed on CL footy every season too and very close to home. I'd be amazed if that his not his final destination.

He won't develop as a player in that League for me.
