Not sure where he said it but he said he wanted to play CL football next season so of course that's not with us.

That is not the same thing as (allegedly) saying he doesn't want to be here.
We'd all like to do a lot of things that are currently beyond our means and wherewithal.
Of course Rom wants to play CL. what pro footballer wouldn't.
But I stand by my assertion that unless he comes out and says, "I wanna transfer" or Everton say, "place your bids" to other clubs, then there is nothing to discuss regarding his future.
And even if he did submit a transfer request, I fully expect Everton to take the stance they did with John Stones. He isn't for sale.

I hope you are right mate but I dont think hes going to be here next season. He might not have come out and said it explicitly but we all know what hes hinting at with those comments. And the ones he made in the interview after Sundays game about hoping 'the guys' and not 'we' have a great pre season and year next year

He's Belgian don't forget and even though his English is very good, he possibly doesn't appreciate certain nuances.

Wilmots isn't a very good coach and he doesn't play to Lukaku's strengths whereas Origi fits in that team quite well. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up starting.

Why would you say "I want to play in the CL next season" whilst at a mid-table club if it wasn't your intention to leave for CL football. He would say "I want to play CL football one day" if he wasn't fussed about his immediate future.

I agree with you.. all he says is "hopefully the guys have a good summer and next year will be even better" What is malicious about that? Is the expectation that the squad hang out together all summer as well? They are all just going their separate ways for a couple months.....
At the end of the day, Rom could very well be off, but to read too much into that comment is pushing it a bit I feel..... I could just as easily say the mere fact he is still willing to do an interview with the Echo after the season was finished and means he is definitely staying, I mean why bother if you were in his shoes and were set on leaving??
