Romelu Lukaku

Everton will finish several places higher without him next season.

Was exactly the reason that Gordon Lee when manager of Newcastle sold Malcolm MacDonald to Arsenal.

Supermac had been banging in goals for fun and the Barcodes had struggled.

Lee sold him, the fans went loopy and the following season, they leapt up the table as the goals were better spread and the opposition had more trouble with them

Lineker scored 40 in one season with us and we won nowt.
The following season, we had goals from Sharp, Sheedy, Steven, Wayne Clarke and romped home as Champions.

One main goalscorer is not necessarily the best for a club.

The team would benefit from having someone who leads the line.
The team would benefit from having at least two, preferably three players vying for the number 9 shirt... and having a manager prepared and willing to play two up front regularly if not every game.

Sod this one up front malarkey, let's get back to going out to win games, every game, titles and trophies !!!

You've obviously never heard of Paris st germain

Strangely I have....they won Le Vanarama by about 40 points before Xmas. Rom has said he wants to test himself against the best teams and defenders in Europe. That's not going to be in France.
I'd rather it was PSG as the same buffoons paid €56M for Sideshow Bob so Lukaku should fetch about €400M.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Lukaku has decided where he's going to play next season.

This is going to go down well isn't it?

To hell with him.

Ridiculous attitude, such a selfish player (grabbing the ball for penalties to boost his own goal tally - I also blame the manager for allowing him to do this) and not a good team player at all.

Only the very best players in the world (Ronaldo) can get await with that. Everyone else has to have some humility otherwise you're in for a big fall eventually. Whether it's his emotional immaturity shining through or he's just being badly advised by his father and/or agent, who knows. But it's not good for us at all, despite his goals.

When you disrespect the team/club constantly so much off the pitch, when you tout yourself around in the media like a tart on Tinder, it is so galling. We get annoyed by it, can you imagine what his teammates think? And no, not all footballers are like this, nor is it 'the modern game'.

Show some respect for your employer and the fans who have supported you by not making constant declarations and outbursts. Have some dignity.

And if he does go to a club not in Europe (or even just in the Europa), that's another slap in the face, given his previous comments about wanting to play in the CL.

Utterly sick of him and his media comments, the Belgian blowhard.

The paraphrase the Crystals song, 'just do one Rom Rom, just do one Rom'.
