Romelu Lukaku

Agree mate but in the modern game a top striker needs to be able to play up front on his own - Costa can do it, Aguero can do it, even if they can then work with a partner.

Lukaku has zero pressure, and all we've done is bring in other strikers who he knows can't compete with him - and what's worse, Kone and Valencia don't even want to.
Lukaku also has this habit of putting zero effort into a game when things don't go his way.
Costa, Aguero et al. all have the ability to get on the ball and make things happen. So does Lukaku, but he doesn't do it or try look for the ball anywhere near enough.

Not brilliant today, but I can see why. Hardly got a pass to feet all game and was constantly in the box with a man isolated to jump with while everyone else pissed about going square and backwards.

He doesn't get a pass to feet, because his 2nd touch is a tackle, or a moan at the player playing the ball.

Big BIG difference being Chelsea have the likes of Hazard overlapping, making runs and space for Costa. City have half a team doing it.

Everton...we have Barkley standing behind him, the wingers doing pointless tricks before putting a crap cross in. It's literally Lukaku on his own...impossible that he's going to do it. We'll see him flourish next season with a good team.

Need a playmaker asap. In fact, getting 5/6 players in Jan is not a joke.

It's not about that for me - it's having the bullish willingness to put in the snide. Lesser players (and Lukaku is a quality player) at lesser teams with lesser team-mates are prepared to put in those hard yards and do the tough stuff. Lukaku just isn't prepared to. You look at all the truly great strikers in our league - Shearer, Henry, Bergkamp, van Nistelrooy, right up to Aguero and Costa, all were prepared to blur the lines to win, to help carry their team. I'm struggling to think of a single occasion where Lukaku has pushed the edges of acceptability.

This.

we have nobody running in behind lukaku to create space, nobody pulling defenders out of position

Sorry mate, but you're chatting nothing but pure sense there.

If you carry on like this I'm going to have to report you, this sort of factual sensible talk isn't what we want around here, we're a place or fume and anxiety, this sort of opinion isn't welcome here.

He needs help up top its as simple as that but what with what we have at the moment i cant see koeman putting valencia up top with im and going back to a 442 formation.

Surely there must be lads in the u23s that deserve a run out. I can gaurantee they will put more effort in than Rom.
