Romelu Lukaku

Was helped by not one of our midfielders standing on his toes from those goal kicks. Diane Lovren always goes from a poor starting position whereas Lukaku was moving onto the ball. One hell of a specimen though, strong as a bull and when he gets going he can shift.

Lovren was so positionally naive at times. ... wouldn't totally blame him though.... Kopp and his team of coaches should have spotted what was happening and changed tactically to stop it . Second half it was mainly vvd closest to Rom to combat his heading and strength and it worked much better for you.

Agree to an extent about coaches but the players on the pitch gotta see it too. Can reacts too late. Rashford is class and it is defo a decent combination with Lukaku.

Thought he was one of Uniteds better players tonight. Along with felliani who was short of fitness.

He was, although it's not saying much. Any United defeat of course means Lukaku was terrible, for those on GOT who have been starved of ammunition with which to attack him, but they were, are and will continue to be wrong.

I don't really blame any of the players for that though, except in part Sanchez who seems to have completely lost the plot. Mourinho is 99% of the reason they've gone out tonight. He should be getting more from that squad. There was no need to change the side tonight but of course he did.

Poor Rom. He'd be the best player the world had ever seen if it wasn't for every manager he's ever had and thirty other excuses rolled out for him every now and then depending on what's the best fit this week.

Write the following terms on seperate slips of paper: manager, midfielders, lack of quality crosses, lack of good balls to feet and overly defensive formation

Now shuffle them around in a hat and pick one at random. The Rom Excusinator, works like a charm

I'm not one to hate on Lukaku but this is a bit mad - ''Romelu Lukaku has one goal this season against the top six PL sides. Wissam Ben Yedder has five despite playing in a different country''.
I'm sure Will Grigg has scored a bunch too... but that doesn't mean United will sign him.

Mourinho is not the manager for those sort of games in a way. Basically a much better Koeman

Lukaku does have 3 assists against them.

That'll be up there with some of the best in Europe against the top 6.

Most improbable for a player who "only scores goals".
