I think we will if Jose sees out the season and they don't go crazy in January. I still have a bit of hope we could finish above Arsenal too but they have so much talent in attack.
 
I love this thread.... after watching Gylfi and Gomes today and realising we offloaded this clown for £75-£90m makes me chuckle. If we had Gomes on a perm deal id be laughing hysterically.

I think in the first half Gomes completed more dribbles and 20 yard plus passes than the fat fraud did in his 3 or 4 years here.

Glad the big move is working for the lump... did anyone see his miscontrol that set up palace for a chance? It reminded me of the time that player blagged a shirt at southampton pretending he was George weahs nephew or something.

I think he's crap like but it seems dead personal for you.

Because he disrespected us like we were below him.... we paid £28m for him at a time that no one else would and gave him game time even when he was stinking the gaff out.

I hated his arrogance and non committed performances.... more than anything I hated that many Everton fans indulged him.

His job was to score goals though, which he did very well.

He probably ranks as one of the clubs best ever signings for the money we paid.

The rest is all irrelevant.

Alan Smith when he broke through at Leeds, was being talked up at the same level as Owen and Fowler. Fowler's injury problems weren't bad when he was first coming through, it was the knee injury in the Derby that done him, same with Owen and the hamstring injury he got at Leeds. Lukaku has a good record but if he cut out the laziness, improved the first touch and sacked off the off pitch nonsense then his record would be so much better
