Top 6 easily, possible top 4 if he was still here ,according to Adrian Durham on Ts

Yeah I heard that and laughed. Shows how much Durham actually watches us.

We've tried playing with Richarlison up front who is on par as a finisher with lukaku to say the very least and we struggle to get the attacking mids involved.... DCL is enabling us to score more as a team.

Let's not get carried away mate. Richarlison may be a better footballer than Lukaku, and suits us far better right now. But he is definitely not a better finisher than Lukaku.

Lukaku is a bang average footballer but a high class finisher. The best I've seen for us in front of goal.

I play golf with an ex tranmere Rovers player... very good player in his day and managed a few clubs.

I was talking about strikers and lukaku in particular and the need to set up the team to indulge their liabilities.

He spoke about Aldridge.... said that he never passed the ball to Aldridge unless he was in the box because unless it was getting a shot away he would lose the ball. Basically to accommodate this the team had to play around him. It put a burden on the team again st better sides as you need your front man to be able to help take the pressure off.... win the ball, hold it up, allow the players behind to get back up.

I'd mention his name but aldo will probably find out and get his crew to go round to his house and beat him up.

Never....

Utd fans

"World class at pointing to patches of grass and other leagues he's dreaming of playing in, but a bit crap at the whole football thing"

"What he is really saying is, "Playing in a league where I don't have to run and my first touch doesn't matter is my dream"

"Imagine talking about moving club the day after a derby defeat and a blow to your top 4 ambitions. Idiot. This guy can’t control a football and is talking like some in demand striker"

"It's just astounding to me that he looks nothing like a footballer. His running style is weird and his body shape when going to strike the ball is just clumsy and terrible. I don't remember him always being this way?"

All depends how we want Everton to play. Certainly can't have the other front 3 playing as it is with a Lukaku type player.

These days that is far from enough.

Lineker for me mate.
Oh and fixed it .
Lineker was far better than Lukaku. But both require a style that cuts out your midfield goalscorers. If you are aiming at a sort of 'total football' which the modern game has become then that individual goalscorer is much less important (unless it was Bob Latchford, the God of Goals)

And in my memory the most complete striker I have ever seen was (closes eyes as he speaks) Ian Rush.

The man is a waste of space on a team level. Dynamite in the championship for sure but if you aspire to create a great team then forget him. I remember being taught how to control a ball aged about eight. He is still trying.
