Ronald Koeman discussion

It was never going to be an over night change, in fortunes. He only had a very short window in the summer from joining. Most managers plan their summer signings throughout the year. He got a couple of weeks to assess the squad he inherited. He has to undo, 3/years of Roberto's, idea of what defense is. Then has to get players who can play the way he wants. Obviously, a lot of the current squad can't do that. It takes time to sell these players to make room for the new ones.

We have to give Ronald at least a year. I'm sure by the start of next season we'll have a very different first eleven than we have now.

I've had a change of heart, I fear I was to quick to put the boot in.

Am I happy the way things have gone, not a chance but people are correct, let's see what he can do after a transfer window or 2, seeing Bob Bradley sacked made me realise how silly it would be because I found myself saying "he deserved more time".

So, I will continue to criticise and I always fume at defeats but I won't be calling for Koemans head unless things get really bad.

I'm sure he cares as you lot do but I thought I'd share.

And just like that, you're back in the land of the sane. Glad to see you've come round.

Relegation - I hope, so I can vault you on doubting yourself.

It is hard to compare, but RK will have to come far better imo his team selections are baffling not just me imo
Let's see, we need to off load a lot of deadwood players for him to rebuild, Stones we had cover for, midfield and strikers is where we are lacking - also buying the Stek has now took a turn of medorocraty - another keeper is needed with the hope Robles can or may come good or not we did have a net spend in summer signings with just using the Stones money!
It's still sell to buy TBF to him so far but Saturdays first half was very poor the worse I have seen v a weakened Leicester side!
To me the fact that Koeman has just arrived when we are in such a bad place makes me have more patience with him. He needs real time to make this work and just over six months with only one transfer window that the club bungled badly doesn't count as that as far as I'm concerned.

Your main problem seems to be our lack of funds, a problem Im also unhappy about but that is the club's fault not Koeman's. Some of his team selection's have been odd but considerably less so and far less often then El Fraudo manage to do the same.

Look I just completely disagree with your thoughts on Leicester, I to was unhappy with the woeful first half showing but it wasn't even close to as bad as at least a dozen matches I can think of off the top of my head that we had under Martinez. Not. Even. Close. I don't care if they were weakened or not you can only beat what's in front of you and we did that. We couldn't even compete with and were humiliated by a half pissed Leicester City last time we played there!

Basically what I've seen from Koeman so far is a man who has a vision on how he wants us to play but knows he doesn't have the player's at his disposal to do it. Now rather then live in la la land like El Fraudo he's prioritizing points while he gets rid of the dead wood and builds his team that can play his way. He's just being practical and prioritizing results over style, a philosophy which I for one wholeheartedly endorse.
