Ronald Koeman discussion

I don't get all the Koeman bashing. Despite inheriting a squad with no confidence & tired legs/minds... We sit 7th in the league. After January's transfer window AND the summer... We're going to see the best Everton side in a long time.

It's a very unimpressive 7th though which has included some of the ugliest football I've seen us play in many years. We are miles off 6th and on similar points to lots of teams beneath us. We also don't seem to ever have any kind of style or game plan. Sure he needs time but so far I've been very underwhelmed and I'm far from convinced he's the man to take us to the next level.

I hope he proves me wrong...

Thank you Mystic Mosh.

BTW......PM me with next week's wining Lotto numbers

Picked the wrong team again.

If Davies and Calvert-Lewis don't start on Monday, I'll proper fume.

Davies.... I don't know what that lad has to do to start a game. He CLEARLY massively improved us when he came on.
Calvert-Lewis also make a big difference too. Would love to see him and Rom up front.

And Jagielka proved yet again that he's finished. Mori should be starting instead of him.

I support Koeman in the long term but he is not helping himself or the team with his loyalty to underperforming/finished players.

I'm sick of him rotating failing players. We all know they're failing, we all know they're not going to improve. SO STOP PICKING THEM! That includes dropping them for a few games, then picking them again and magically hoping they'll show improvement.

I honestly think the players (or some) are totally ignoring him.

How many times has he said we need to start quicker, yet we are pedestrian every game.
How many times has he said he wants to press, yet we dont.
He said tonight that Barkley was in the team due to the fact that we will have more possession, yet we hoof and hoof on repeat.

If that's the case then Koeman should have the right to flog them all. If they are not listening to them then they are rebels against the cause or they are just brain dead.

His starting lineups may not be great but imo the players are not interested at all.

after every bad result its Koemans fault just like last year with martinez. When do you starting to realise that 3/4 of this team is not good enough???

Mirallas, Deulofeu, Valencia, Barry, funes mori, jagielka are not good enough and never will be. Same with cleverley, oviedo etc etc etc.
This will take time and untill then you will keep seing these performances. Some people really don't seem to get it.

Totally agree but at least dont drop mori as he has been decent enough and in better firm that the mess that jags is this season. Barry shouldnt be near the team in his form and results wise it makes sense to put davis in. Valencia is a west ham reject and shouldnt be near the team.

Even when he rest players for rotation his hands are tied. He can do no more with what he has.

As time progress you realise the gamble he took in joining us, Southampton were on an upward trajectory, we weren't. Had it not been for an improved wage and the promise of backing he wouldn't be here, and in reality we didn't have many better options.

I actually feel sorry for him. If he isn't backed heavily he's going to struggle as would most managers inheriting this lot. Time to realise he had a better squad with Southampton than he did inheriting the one he has with us.

Exactly this.

Let's not compare Klopp to Fat Head mate. Its embarrassing.
In what way is it embarrassing Friend?

You made the statement mate, where are all of these Liverpool supporters? I only see a lot of frustrated blues here.
Banned mate.

They don't normally last long.

I don't want us to sack him either. We need stability. But I am still not convinced by him.

Really wish we landed Mourinho - I know I know, pipe dream...
LOL

Were a laughing stock.Sack the manager etc.Just calm down for a minute here. How are we a laughing stock? This team is only top 7 or top 8 at best and that's where we are in the table at the moment.Performances as a whole hasn't been that great but i think Koeman has done well to have us where we are considering what he has inherited.I honestly think once he brings in the players he wants in January then things will improve greatly.
