Yes, you've misread it. They were going to be tough to overhaul FOR A TOP FOUR SLOT.
Not having that mate, what you're trying to say is that in the message I quoted, you thought the top 4 would come from that set of 6 clubs but the two that didn't make it would the potentially finish 7th or lower?

What, you cant play good football and be top half? Is this what the belief is now?

Koeman and is apologists have well and truly scored a victory there.

If I was that concerned by 'good football' I'd switch on the TV and watch Barcelona.

My guess is we'll play more entertaining stuff later in the season, you know at the point the new manager has a few more of his own signings in the team and has fully established himself at the club?

The other two weren't necessarily nailed on for a top 6 spot if we were better than what we are.

I honestly have no clue what this guy does in training given the past performances against hull and Swansea, 2nd half of Liverpool and even Leicester was abysmal despite us winning it

i thought by now he would have at least had the players to a decent level of fitness where they could string more than 2 passes together

...which is why a new manager was brought in.

He's apparently a 'great' manager...and certainly gets the wages of any great manager in European football. All we've had so far though is safe, boring, up and under "football".

His first season here so far has been shocking and only some freak circumstance whereby 27 points gets you 7th place has covered his arse on it.

Dave, have you ever thought that we are only playing hoofball because these players are simply not good enough to consistently play the way Koeman actually wants them to? It's called getting the best out of what we've got and unfortunately until we sign new players that's all this crap squad is capable of. I'd argue he's actually done well with the resources he has.

Sacking managers, hiring new ones etc. Will get us nowhere, a gutless, spineless team full of losers is the problem. Not Koeman.

So, 19 games played we're halfway through the season. Here's how he compares to the last few years so far:

you can make comparisons with the squad that Klopp inherited

the players are crap yet he's turned them into world beaters

you can turn crap into world beaters if you have a good manager

to say that he has a team full of losers, it should be his job to turn that team of losers into winners playing good football

When has there been a problem with the fitness?

And we've dominated the possession in our last two away games so we can clearly string two passes together and you're just telling lies.

You said, clear as day..

"If we had heavily invested in the summer"

What were you referencing there? To me I thought you were saying we could have broke the top six if we had, you clearly must have meant something different.

It took Klopp 18months though.

Baffled the way nobody can see that, plus the most important players he bought in his 2nd window.
