Good result but should never have been in doubt against a team that had two days less to prepare for games over the Christmas period than we did. They ran out of steam in the last quarter of an hour or so and that's what won it for us.

Nice to see you give him credit...

Saints only started with 4 outfield players who started their last game mate - are they the ones you believe tired badly?

They actually rotated their last game in order to prepare betterfor this one accordibng to what saints fans where saying

Yoshida, McQueen, Tadic and Romeu

How is that relevant? Everton and all other teams rotated too.

They had their best player banned for the game and two less days to prepare for three games than we did. They are decisive factors. We were clueless again until Southampton tired and space was found.

So the sub and change of formation had no baring on the result mate, it was because we had more rest?

The sub: we were at home playing with our usual clueless attacking game and there's half an hour left. What else is he going to do other than stick another forward on? The manager of Marine would have done that.

Well done to the manager for putting Davies in and making substitutions at the right time.

To get us to 30 points with the same squad basically left to him by the previous court jester is ok and could have been even better.

I'm not. The credit goes to the PL who scheduled 3 games in 6 days for Southampton and 3 in 8 days for us.

They tired badly there today and that was the difference.

4 outfield players today played against WBA, One of those (Tadic) was subbed after 65mins

9 of our outfield players played against Hull

So surely there starting eleven would be fitter given half of there team hadn't played for over a week
