Groundhog day in here again with the return of someone that was laughed out of here months ago
Welcome back indeed. You will fit it abit better this time around with the negativity and bed wetting culture this forum is crawling with.

Under Kenwright (and I'm not advocating his return, merely putting your points into context) we also targeted players and never got them; we smashed to pieces the club record fee (Lukaku) and that made a big noise in the PL at the time; we progressed two stadiums - one to the point where one single boardroom decision could have secured us an iconic home on a world heritage site.

I'm not feeling tectonic plates shifting here, tbh.

I've siad earlier that it's way too early to conclude what Moshiri's impact will be, but I think it's equally correct to suggest what we've seen so far hasn't been of monumental importance. It's more status quo than reboot.

You cannot say this Dave.

Simply put.

It's uncontroversial as far as I see it. Stripped of all the hype, that's where we are.

Indeed it is. At this point.

But at this point, AFC Bournemouth are probably top of the league.

The signs are positive, the frustration is palpable, but imo the future is a damn sight brighter than it has been for 20 plus years.

Welcome back mate. Under Kenwrignt when did we ever take a top player, never mind manager from a top 6 team in England?

Let's look at this simply. The two managers Kenwright appointed both worked with the Lancashire border. They were recommended by Dave Wheelan and Walter Smith.

Ronald Koeman in profile and prestige in lightyears ahead of all kenwrights managers.

As I said earlier: if Moshiri is in this all the way it would be foolish not to agree with that statement. But going off actual delivery so far rather than words spoken I can easily see where the doubts are creeping in as to just how far his commitment goes.

We're hurtling toward a minimum net spend summer. Rewind a couple of months back and if you'd told that to supporters then they would have been floored by that prospect.
