Ronald Koeman discussion

Without searching for the evidence, I thought Koeman had a reputation for dealing late in the window? (Happy to be corrected on that).

I'm expecting movement this week on several of our primary targets now Pogba move is concluding.

Good business is often about judging when is the best time to change strategy when things appear not to be going your way. I don't think the club (Moshiri, Walsh and Koeman ) feel we have reached that point yet - for good reason.

They are vindicated if we get the three points next saturday AND then the transfers follow very swiftly after and are of a high calibre.

Otherwise they've been highly negligent and let us down.

Who are the targets mate ?

Give him his due, he's nailed his colours to the mast early with Koeman.

I must admit to laughing when Southampton appointed him, as I thought he was an awful manager up to that point. I reckon he showed enough there to suggest that he's capable of doing a very good job, though.

Ive just based my view on all ive seen other than at Feyenoord (forced to play kids) and think he caught Poch coat tails at Saints then 2nd season was heading to oblivion at new year before they had an amazing 2nd half of the season...i cant see any mastermind in there, quite the opposite

Koeman bettered Poch did he?

Or did he just ride on his coat-tails i wonder.

Besides you were too busy to notice what anyone else was doing in your endless tirades against Martinez after he reached 5th.
He lost 5 of Potchetino's preferred starting line up and bettered his (Potchetino) best season at Southampton, they (Southampton) then sold some of Koemans first teamers and he bettered his (Koeman) first season. What's not to like?

And stop mentioning me not wanting Martinez, it's not news to anyone, it's not relevant and because I called that one right doesn't mean you'll be right on this one.

Waiting for Pogba should have no relevance to signing a first choice keeper and going into the week leading up to our opening game this is surely negligence.

I'm not sure a good way to run a football business is to make it difficult for your manager to hit the ground running in his opening season here.

With the best will in the world the summer's relative inactivity in the market can't be seen as evidence that we've turned a new page in the way this club operates.

So far, on the transfer In Tray, yes, it is a tad light.

But lets just see.

The world and it's wife have been stating that it's the Pogba deal going through that will fire the starter pistol on the transfer window. I don't know if it has actually been finalised, but hopefully it will be like the cork on a champagne bottle popping, and all our targets, Mata, Witsel Koubilay etc will topple into Finch Farm 48hrs later:pint2:
