Ronald Koeman discussion

All this stuff about the top 6 being too strong as an excuse for our season being over is completely irrelevant. If that was the case (which I don't fully buy) then Koeman should have assessed his squad before the season started, realised that the top 6 was beyond this group of players, then prioritised the cups above everything else. Instead we've had the same line pedalled all season that getting back to 7th is the aim of the season. No it's not Ronald, winning stuff is and you've failed to even attempt that in your first season. Anyone wanting to argue that Everton shouldn't aim to win stuff have at it. I don't care how poor the squad is or isn't, you always give it a go, we haven't turned up in any competition this season.

Did this exist? Did we put a weakened side ask yourself.

His wage is irrelevant, He was brought here as an upgrade to Martinez and so far he's failed to show that, His tactics/team selection and signings (Gueye aside) have all left a lot to be desired

After 6 months I can't even begin to see what he's trying to achieve on the pitch, Martinez bombed out but at least you could see his plan and what he was trying to drill into the squad

So 7th instead of 11th isnt an upgrade???

Time will tell.

It would be a new tact for and Everton manager to publicly put a little pressure on the board.

I'm all for it. I can't stand Kenwright or that Worm Elstone.

The board won't do anything different mate, They will carry on doing what they do regardless of our manager spitting his dummy out for the world to see, If anything it made him look weak

This tweet sums up my feelings quite well. I've had to star out some choice words though!!

@macca26efc: U Koeman out *****, u gave Moyes 11 years an that Spanish **** 3, do us a favour an **** off, the players are the ******* problem

All in that few characters. Ha.

We're 7 days into the window. He'll get his players. All that 'It's not me guv' stuff yesterday was designed to deflect from a our season imploding in January at his own hands.

The feller is a coward.
You see I totally disagree. I just see honesty and a broadside to the board. Defo not a coward just someone who sees what it is and voices his concerns and opinion. Someone like us who wants to see change and quickly.

I've highlighted this before and its baffling

The league doesn't finish in Jan mate, We haven't finished 7th, We could easily finish 11th again

The only thing you can truly compare Koman and Martinez right now is the cups and Koeman has bombed us out of both against two poor sides at home

We both know the frequency of hearing those songs dropped massively in year 2 and 3. Let's not rewrite history Dave. You don't like that.
My point is the fickle nature of the protest.

It was kopite-esque. An embarrassing moment in the history of this club that brought shame on whoever indulged in it.

Dont fall for that mate. He doesn't give a flying one about you or I or this club. He is a mercenary, and a pretty mediocre one at that.

In the EFL cup? Yes undoubtedly, Cleverley, Funes Mori at LB, Valencia upfront, it wasn't the first choice team.

The line up was better in this game undoubtedly but still we had Coleman and Valencia out wide when Mirallas and Deulofeu are on the bench.

The main thing is that in both games when we went behind we didn't increase the tempo at all to try and get back in it. Leicester were swatting the ball around with ease at Goodison when we should have been bringing the Alamo. The players weren't arsed in either game. You can either blame them or blame Koeman but let's not pretend anyone at Everton gave any effort in the cups this season.

The publicity alone is fine by me, for years some Evertonians (including me) have not been happy with Kenwright and Co, it was only the other week, after 16 years, their poor management was highlighted in the Guardian. Ironically at a time when they're progressing. Any exposure to this is better than the metaphorical pat on the head, the media have given us over the past decade.
