Still not great really is it. He hates this squad of players. Easy to see, after 3 days he was saying how unbalanced that we were. Still 50/50 on him tbh .One thing about him is he has a clear plan of what he wants. By this time next year we will know how good he really is.

????

It's a fine defensive record. Other than Chelsea/Spurs who are the top 2 in the league, here's third through seventh.

Goals Conceded:
Arsenal 22
Liverpool 23
Man City 22
Man Utd 19
Everton 23

Joint 7th with a team who supposedly leaks goals? I'd give it a 6/10 could do better.
**suppose 5 of them where Chelsea**

To be honest mate I was never a fan of Martinez but I backed him because he was the manager.
But some of our players let him down badly.
I'll never forget him standing in the technical area at Anfield as we got battered, I could have cried for him because he looked lost and lonely and some of those @@@@@ on the pitch needed a good shafting.

Heard Osman talk about that anfield 4-0 defeat where we faced 37 shots on goal. Gotta be some record that. Ossie in his interview said that before the derby he suggested to Bobby that we need to outfight Liverpool. Bobby on the other hand was stubborn in his tactics and wanted to keep faith in possession football and believed if we out played them we'd win. Ultimately RS sat back, invited us and then hit our [Poor language removed] defence on the counter.

doesn't explain in the slightest why the players rolled over and showed absolutely no fight though, does a possession game stop a player being physical when not on the ball or getting stuck in.

As for them letting us have the ball - think he remembers that wrong as the rs had 67% possession

For a local lad though Osman never once showed any kind of fight in a derby anyway

Koeman still has a lot to prove in my book, our defence is better for sure and we have taken points from most of the top sides but can't help feel we have been lucky in those games that they haven't taken the chances where perhaps on another day they would have scored.

The performances have been in the most part awful and we haven't had one game yet where we have played the full 90 minutes. The early cup exits have been frustrating.

However we are 7th and haven't played well, so if with a few more player acquisitions and we do hit some form that could be interesting. I'm not one for public bashing of players but perhaps it's the only way to get through to them nowadays when they hold all the cards, so I will let him off for that, for now at least.

Within the next year or so he will have almost his own team, at that point then we can judge him properly. I just hope we start playing better towards the end of the season to give us all confidence for the next one.
