I see your point. What I feel is nowadays with every manager thinking they are a football genius and moving good/decent players off just cos they don't meet one of the criteria they have entrenched in their so called philosophy.
For example:
- A player like Vidic wouldn't have played for Pep cos he may be a great tackler but too physical and not natural ball player. Joe Hart was moved on straightaway.
- Fabregas is not good enough to start every match for Conte.
- Now with Koeman, he will move on Del today, then Barkley will be shipped off in the summer too. Why is he not willing to work with Barkley to maybe change his position from no 10 to no 8? Why can't he use Del's flair and crossing abilities to good use? Its not like they are 28/29 pushing 30.
Just feel like its unfair when players in their youth see managers coming and going every other year and every manager forcing those players to adapt to his way or taking the highway. Must be confusing for young players and no wonder some of them don't realise their true potential.
Imagine Zidane playing for Koeman: "Good player but OK he doesn't press so no future".
