You mustn't have been reading my earlier posts then...no doubt you were doing something weird like travelling home from Goodison, but the rest of us hard core supporters on here were all very happy and posted to say so.
My only words of caution are that a) it's only one full game we've actually turned up for this season, and b ) and more importantly, playing City is easy in terms of not having to break down stubborn banks of players ahead of us...which we will cintinue to struggle with because this manager prefers not to sign a playmaker but throw another kings ransom at a position we didn't urgently need to address. And I'm right too.
You have to when you've argued yourself into a bitter, twisted and vindictive corner and can see no honourable way out.It does tho, I mean how can you watch a game like that today and search for negatives?
Baffling.
Well I should hope so. If he does then he'll be drawing the right conclusion. Just a pity we lashed £24m away that could have been put toward buying a top lock picker.we might still buy that extra guile before end of Jan though Dave.
Agree with this. The tactics were spot on for this game and considering the available players. As the squad takes shape, meaning more options, then we should see the tactics/gameplan adjust according to the opponents, etc.Tactics and substitutions were spot on today,
Key is to keep your shape against City and their runners off the ball are more dangerous than the man with it.
Our Discipline was superb.
Helps when you have better quality subs as well like.

Why isn't Barkley, who plays as a 10 able to do that? Surely that's where the playmaker role sitsYou mustn't have been reading my earlier posts then...no doubt you were doing something weird like travelling home from Goodison, but the rest of us hard core supporters on here were all very happy and posted to say so.

Thursday..shopping...big shop day.is he getting a day off or what like?
That won't work against most teams who also adopt that high perspiration low inspiration game plan.Have you had a stroke here?
Anyway, we still havent played well for 90minutes, I totally agree, Ronny wont buy a playmaker, he doesnt use 1, but thankfully we have Ross Barks anyway, as you have been told for the last 6months, he will get the players in needed to play the way he wants, fast, direct football, pressing all over the pitch, today was a glimpse into the future, embrace the future, look forward, forget the past.
