Ronald Koeman discussion

Look where we are mate. We will remain there BECAUSE we can't get any traction from playing these hard working teams with our own version of hard work.

You pile up the points against teams like that by pinning them back and playing a killer pass at the right moment. Then they open up and you score for fun.

That is a dimension we don't have. We need to get it or we'll be just the best of the rest and be left with nothing other than whooping it up like we've won a trophy after beating one of the *big teams*.

Lets see if they sit back when we run out them with pace and power.

Forget what youve seen before, embrace the new dawn, the dawn of Everton.

Way better than pitifully losing two semi finals

You're drunk on a win against City. Moyes used to knock these over regularly, and he was hopeless.

Look, we are 6 months into the Koeman period. It's understandable you want to see green shoots of development as we all do, but we won't get anywhere until we can put to bed teams who will not budge from their half. They'll do what we do against the likes of City and Spurs and we'll get done the same way. A more sophisticated alternative plan is needed against those sort of teams, and merely continuing with a 'pace and power' approach won't get the job done.

Mate, I don't think even the top four clubs have as decent a CM group of players as we had before signing Schneiderlin. It was a luxury we don't require.

For his position...more or less.. we have Barry, McCarthy, Cleverley, Gibson or Davies to go alongside Gana if thats how he wants to play.

If Koeman has decided Barry needs to be used sparingly, Davies too green to rely on every week, McCarthy not good enough or reliable enough injury-wise and that the others are crap......could you disagree with that?

I guess Ross too, but I don't think he sees him as a player who can play deep regularly.

You are right in that we have a lot of options. Thats 100% true. However whether they are decent enough to play every week in a key area going forward for our team that is totally up for discussion and I think many have no problem in us spending money to get somebody in there who will be first choice, reliable and strong.

I understand if you think those options are better than most fans do but again think you are being very biased in the level of criticism/importance you are putting on the signing. Especially when the windows not shut and we may get the second striker/creator we need by end of month.

Aye I'm sure the Top 4 were sat their envious at Gana, Barry, McCarthy and Cleverley...
Yeah and Davies don't forget.

So who are the cm players each of those top four have that they'd turn their nose up at Gueye, McCarthy, Barry, and Davies?

It's not like they've changed system, players or managers since that time either...

Nothing against Scneidrlin. Decent player. We just didn't need to crips silly sign him when we are short of class in and around Lukaku.
