Ronald Koeman discussion

Look where we are mate. We will remain there BECAUSE we can't get any traction from playing these hard working teams with our own version of hard work.

You pile up the points against teams like that by pinning them back and playing a killer pass at the right moment. Then they open up and you score for fun.

That is a dimension we don't have. We need to get it or we'll be just the best of the rest and be left with nothing other than whooping it up like we've won a trophy after beating one of the *big teams*.

I can still totally see that being the story of Koeman a couple of seasons down the line.

Not an unfair suggestion.

However I have hope we will have get high enough quality in the attack and this could be the job where Koeman cements a great rep as a manager.

Lets see!

Nothing against Scneidrlin. Decent player. We just didn't need to crips silly sign him when we are short of class in and around Lukaku.

Your acting like we have a budget, we dont, if Ronny wants a playmaker, he will buy 1, the magic will happen elsewhere, you keep judging the team based on Zombie Taka, we dont play that style, we dont need to fear teams setting up with banks of 4, cos we just bulldoze through them.

Everton coming through, get out the way.

if we lost them both, then no actually Dave
By the narrowest of margins, which was hardly the "bowing out with a whimper" they were described as.

Anyway, we got turned over like utter amateur this season in both cups early doors, so let's not crow about cup exits too much.

You're drunk on a win against City. Moyes used to knock these over regularly, and he was hopeless.

Look, we are 6 months into the Koeman period. It's understandable you want to see green shoots of development as we all do, but we won't get anywhere until we can put to bed teams who will not budge from their half. They'll do what we do against the likes of City and Spurs and we'll get done the same way. A more sophisticated alternative plan is needed against those sort of teams, and merely continuing with a 'pace and power' approach won't get the job done.
Dave we (your team) have just ripped apart the most talented squad in the league and possibly Europe, with arguably one of the best managers in world football, with 2 teenagers on the score sheet. If your not smiling right now then you may as well just swerve watching footy mate.
