Ronald Koeman discussion

You know under Martinez we only beat City once in 8 games?
You know Koeman has more points against City for Everton in two games than Martinez did in six?

If your going to be 'edgy' and 'controversial' at least be consistent with your analysis. Your all over the shop here.
Calm down mate. My point has nothing to do with Martinez. It is pointing out that a big win against City is very welcome but we see it for what it is: nothing in the grand scheme of things. The catapulting of Davies is the big deal of it. But "taking City down" is something we should do, not something we should celebrate like Hull. Remember who we are, remember what we've achieved, remember we are Everton.

We have achieved sod all in the last twenty years mate. Hull have got to as many finals as us. We have won less trophies than Birmingham.

Think you need to remember who we are right now. You can talk about our history as much as anyone..I am as proud of it as anyone but lets be honest. In the grand scheme of things we have done nothing for a very long time.

Only @davek could find something to complain about today. We could get 73 points this season and he'd still be unconvinced. His loyalty to managers is perfectlt uninfluenced by that manager's ability or results and instead trying to protect an ad hoc opinion he took early on. Even now he only begrudgingly admits Martinez should have been sacked. But, okay that is davek and we just have to try and get on and prepare for the next match's absurd comments.

This forum has never been a place where we all rub each others backs and agree with everyone.

Fact is, there will always be opposing opinions of players, managers and owners. There will be opposing opinions of results and how we played.

There will be opposing opinions.

Do you internet much?

I'm well aware of all that stuff you just wrote. And yes I "internet" much!

I actually thought that @davek would probably go missing for a few weeks after todays performance, quite surprised he's on here pushing his usual anti-Koeman agenda after a 4-0 victory against City.

You're fighting a losing battle dave.
Why would I do that?

It is what it is - simply put, a very good result and a full game performance not before time. Koeman has proven nothing. I stand by my view that he's not all that but will see us about where we are now in the table for two seasons before getting off.

So on paper, they should win. But they didn't. Not purely due to excellent management, it's down to a number of factors. Enjoy it

If you can't enjoy games likes today and are sniffing round for negatives, there's genuinely no point following a football team.

Just left red door, don't know what that's this is. Forza Tommy D
That's just a way of not acknowledging an alternative take on today's result.

I worry that you have changed your view within less than six months on a manager you claimed will be Arsene Wengers natural successor.

But I thought.....nevermind.

Delighted with the result, even more so with our best player of the season absent (gana). First half in particular we gave the ball away needlessly, (koeman' admitted he wasn't happy in the first half) but took our only chance. But what I will take from this game more than anything was the performance of Tom Davies, he finally announced himself on the big stage. Let's hope it start of a successful career with Everton.
