Ronald Koeman discussion

Martinez had to go becuse he lost control of some senior players. And yes, 11th two seasons running is a sackable offence....just as a manager spending more cash than any other manager ever will need to be relieved of his duties if we don't get into Europe two seasons on the bounce.

It's so obvious , you're positioning yourself to hammer a manager already, teeing up for the future .

I was with you with the moyes criticism and certainly early on the unfailing Martinez support . You were actually one of my favourite posters but you're in real danger of becoming a parody of yourself.

Just so you know You're plunging towards the earth at speed , nobody will judge you for pulling the parachute cord now .

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but, whether by design or luck, Ronald has got a team full of snides now.

Delighted to see Seamus, Williams, Rom, Ross, Davies, Holgate all in the last few weeks and especially today, stand up for themselves, be cynical when needed and leap to the defense of there team mate.

I think its great. It bodes well and is a huge indictment of the change in mentality that is currently going through the club.

Bit of both mate, but it's very nice to see us being tougher.

"Everton have requested the Premier League give City the 3 points for todays game cos Dave, 84 from Runcorn doesnt think beating City should be rewarded"
No mate. We deserved three points. That's about it though really.

I don't understand where all the hostility is coming from here. I congratulated the manager as soon as I could and stated it was a welcome first ever full 90 minutes under Koeman. But rightly I stated we will find it harder consistently knocking over teams who won't naively get out from behind the ball and allow us to get behind them.

From that I'm accused of being a Kopite and a WUM.

Tbf, the over sensitivity on display probably reveals a lot of insecurity over our place in the pecking order. Some are desperate to see a win like this as a symbol of us getting back to a point we were last at after Martinez's first season. I say that's very premature and that on the whole the season needs to be seen as acceptable but also one that stresses just how far we have to travel in terms of how we play under Koeman and his need to develop a style - a winning style.

I think people are just happy we won Dave.

Great. So what?

So on paper, they should win. But they didn't. Not purely due to excellent management, it's down to a number of factors. Enjoy it

If you can't enjoy games likes today and are sniffing round for negatives, there's genuinely no point following a football team.

Just left red door, don't know what that's this is. Forza Tommy D

You know under Martinez we only beat City once in 8 games?
You know Koeman has more points against City for Everton in two games than Martinez did in six?

If your going to be 'edgy' and 'controversial' at least be consistent with your analysis. Your all over the shop here.
Calm down mate. My point has nothing to do with Martinez. It is pointing out that a big win against City is very welcome but we see it for what it is: nothing in the grand scheme of things. The catapulting of Davies is the big deal of it. But "taking City down" is something we should do, not something we should celebrate like Hull. Remember who we are, remember what we've achieved, remember we are Everton.

We have achieved sod all in the last twenty years mate. Hull have got to as many finals as us. We have won less trophies than Birmingham.

Think you need to remember who we are right now. You can talk about our history as much as anyone..I am as proud of it as anyone but lets be honest. In the grand scheme of things we have done nothing for a very long time.
