Ronald Koeman discussion

That doesn't interest me mate. I use that phrase as a joke to underline joke far we are away from being anything of note. how anyone can find pride in that patronising codswallop is beyond me. We are Everton. Only titles and cups are acceptable.

The bit in bold is kind of a contradiction in terms like. You were happy enough to sit back relax and watch the second half of our season go down the toilet under Martinez last year. There's a lot of work to do to bring this club back to where it belongs. So far progress under Koeman has been solid. That will do fine for now.

Absolutely spot on. There are too many on here who are happy with 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th, we used to sack managers for that. We must believe we will be 1 or 2, anything else is failure.......especially being 2nd..........

I can understand being elated with the result today from the perspective of seeing it as the launch pad for a young player's career, but the apparent view that we've achieved something or turned a corner by beating a team I'd regard as the soft touch of the PL elite is bewildering.

I'll be more impressed if we put the next two opponents to the sword than this victory against a team who throw caution to the wind.

"Everton have requested the Premier League give City the 3 points for todays game cos Dave, 84 from Runcorn doesnt think beating City should be rewarded"

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but, whether by design or luck, Ronald has got a team full of snides now.

Delighted to see Seamus, Williams, Rom, Ross, Davies, Holgate all in the last few weeks and especially today, stand up for themselves, be cynical when needed and leap to the defense of there team mate.

I think its great. It bodes well and is a huge indictment of the change in mentality that is currently going through the club.
