You do know that journey from champions league contenders to mid table obscurity all happened under Martinez right?We were a shambles when that man was booted out of Goodison on his ass.Under Koeman we have gone from being a mid table outfit to best of the rest in the league all in the space of a few months.

Absolutely spot on. There are too many on here who are happy with 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th, we used to sack managers for that. We must believe we will be 1 or 2, anything else is failure.......especially being 2nd..........

Correct mate...but you do have to get to them to stand a chance of winning a final...fat chance of that this season like.

I am not sure that McCarthy is surplus to requirements here, he is very definitely a Koeman type player and while not a regular starter I can see Koeman viewing him as excellent cover for the central midfield area.

He brings the energy and aggression that RK demands so would be good cover but he's become injury prone and we now have a surplus of players in his position so I can see him being sold if there are any interested parties.
