Ronald Koeman discussion

My concern is Koeman's own motivational skills - which appear to be close to zero so far this season, and the state of mind of the team given that the top 6 are more or less set in stone now.

the top 6 is not set in stone. the premier league is getting much more competative where everyone can beat everyone within reason.

plenty of twists and turns yet. we just need to be as consistent as possible and see where we end up.

about time!

youve been hiding under the bed sheets after seeing EVERTON 4 citeh 0 havent you!

That's the point mate i didnt SEE the score ;)

My Dad smsed me some nonsense when i asked him how we were doing and i thought he was pulling my leg.

Fair play to Ronald, he's shown up a lot of posters on here by doing what ive been saying we should do for a long long time.

Clearly my opinions are undervalued on here.

i will agree with you that you have called for holgate and for the kids to be played for a while.

thats a pat on the back by the way.

its nice to see you actually praise our manager, credit where credit is due.

First time we've had a full game of effort all season...21 weeks into it.

As you say, it's the Palaces and Stokes we have to be competitive against...that's when the manager earns his corn, not against a team like City when the team and crowd are naturally up for it.
Fair enough that is mate the crowd have set the standard they want to see up to koeman and the squad to deliver

far from convinced we wont slip up badly over the next stretch of easy games either. fair enough getting fired up for city at home - but let's see how this team responds with absolutely nothing to play for. still a mercenary for me and 2 years down the line once he's gone we will wonder wtf all this was actually about.

They have there futures to play for. I do agree he has to find the tactics to break teams down and that is going to be different from the open type of games the bigger clubs play. Be rest assured every player will have to fight to get into this team so will have to be up for it or will soon be one of those with no future at the club. Healthy competition to be part of the project.

in fairness Martinez first season was miles above anything we are seeing now.

That's because he was left a decent side by his predecessor which he added a couple of astute loans to and bought McCarthy.

He had the luxury of being able to sell Fellaini for 27m and got lucky with getting Lukaku.

Whereas Ron was left with an absolute omnishambles by the clown before him.

half a like for that; One Swallow etc.

You witnessed the last two terrible seasons. The improvement on the pitch is in progress.

What is the point of telling your players they have the ability of Messi or Cleverley is the best free transfer or say he is getting you CL? Absolutely pointness. It's just lying and deluding yourself.

To break the Sky 6 barrier Koeman needs time and new players. No one had been able to do this except Blackburn and Leicester (for 1 season) since 1992.
