Ronald Koeman discussion

Ronny Ks globetrotters are gonna make you cry next season.

72 points, your having a laugh.
Your lad Ronnie needs an extra 10 games per season to get 72 points. He's way too streaky a manager to be consistently competitive over 38 games. Before this season ends he'll go on another 7/8 game non-winning run.

Dave this has to stop, it's a fair referencing point, how can we know where we're going if we don't know where we are coming from? I simply stated that from 13th to 7th is impressive by Koeman, especially considering the strengthening that the current top 6 have done on and off the pitch compared to us in the past 30 months. If you don't like it, ignore it.

A simple search of key words 'ginger bollocks' in the @Fat Stan Martinez thread will prove what a humongous hypocrite you're being.

If I mention Martinez when not using it as a comparison, then fair enough, but this was not, it was a solid and fair reflection on Koeman's progress with our club.
You're still not getting the memo. It's not me you have to explain to.

Well this far, my friend, no mod has criticised me for comparing where we ended up last season to where we are now, only you.

I assume there is a reason for that. Let's just say I've done nothing wrong and move on as a team?

Although I always wanted koeman to replace Martinez, I was frustrated before christmas in the direction the team was going and expressed those concerns on here. However since the arsenal game there has been signs of progression, more youth in the team has undoubtedly given us more energy (should have happened a lot earlier mind you). Seriously Dave what do you perceive to be a decent end to the season for koeman?

Koeman averages 61.5 points per season in the PL. He is on course to finish on 60 this season.
Martinez averages 54.3 points per season with Everton (I could use Wigan too if required).

Stark evidence on who is the more streaky manager (72 v 47 v 44 for Bobby against 60 v 63 for Koeman).

72 points - it's the holy grail in the gospel according to Dave

After that Arsenal game we lost against Liverpool and Leicester and were fortunate to get a draw from Hull. Which underlines my point that he's a very inconsistent manager. So, to answer your question, a decent end to the season would be cutting out that one step forward two steps back sequence.

Oh dear. Do you always put an obstacle before a hurdle?

Anyhow the last match, although we ceded possession, we attacked with verve and swag. With three kids on the pitch! Koeman looked overjoyed and very much an Everton man. Really enjoyed being at the match, haven't seen a match that good in years! Got his tactics spot on, although that won't work against the lesser lights of the league.
Massively improved home form on recent years!

Lukaku's game has stayed EXACTLY the same...as per the volume of 'lazy get' posts he attracts on this forum...which are an all time high for this season.

Haven't seen too many of those posts lately. I've always thought he was a lazy get but for me, and I've said it before, it all changed about 20 mins into the Arsenal game. He harassed about 4 Arsenal players one after the other and it got the crowd going. After that we didn't look back and I think something clicked for him. I'm not saying he's perfect but he is far better than he has been before in the weaker parts of his game (pressing and hold up play) and if you can't see that you must have one of the obstructed view seats.
