Ronald Koeman discussion

Have to pretty much agree although I will add that I think the Watford game was a turning point in this regard. In my opinion it's hard to argue against this when you had Koeman coming out a few weeks ago and saying none of the young players, including Davies were ready.
Spot on.

I dont think Rom, Davies, Holgate, Lookman feel pressure. Certainly not of our previous failings.
Nor Robles, Williams or Schneiderlin.

Rom/Baines/Robles/Coleman/Barkley/Kev/Barry/McCarthy and Jags have all been involved with Moyes/Martinez or both

A plan?

I see a flexible manager, a manager who has been willing to give everybody a chance in the last 6months, a manager who doesnt have "favourites", a manager who keeps players in the team on merit, a manager willing to give the kids their chance in the first team and retains them when they take their chance, a dark knight, a silent protector, Ronny K.
Hilarious.

I see a Pillsbury Doughboy stumbling from one decision to another like Forest Gump.

WHat has happened to you?

I thought you went on a bit a few years ago but now, it has gotten a bit stupid. You seem to exist only to pick futile arguments about anything and then say absolutely anything to win said arguments.

You totally derail and devalue this thread with your whopping bull crap. There is no point in trying to post because every other post is interrupted by someone else replying (in anger) to your waffle.

Have a word with yourself. Read back some of the drivel you post and ask yourself is it really worth it.

He does the whole forum honestly. His reputation is the only reason he's still here, because there's a small group of his disciples that would kick up an almighty stink if he was banned.

DID YOU KNOW:

Koeman has up to 50% of the U23s training with the First Team on any one training day.

Hates the Kids.
I don't think he hates the kids but I also don't think he was particularly brave in playing them. He's eventually given some of them a go because he eventually ran out of other options. Hopefully he gets some confidence from how Davies has played and his current approach continues.

That's right. A cup should always be the aim each season, why not? On the title question: ULTIMATELY how can winning it again not be our objective, given our history?

Short/medium term I've stated my view:

this season 7th is acceptable. A decent enough start.
next season 7th is not acceptable. we have to improve on any such 7th place finish this season.
third season achieving 5th or a top 4 spot can only be seen as a finish that keeps Koeman in a job

That ^^^ is just about as clear (and fair and even handed) as I can be.

Didn't you want Martinez to be kept on after two 11th place finishes

He can't just throw the kids in. They need to be guided progressively.
