See those two seasons with EL competition (2007/08 and 2008/09)? That was with Moyes' second settled side he'd built. Stability was there...and we also needed to get a catch up in those seasons because we were well off the pace early doors with that stupid competition in play. See the 2009/10 season? That fall off was because Moyes had break up his team to pay debts.

My point is solid concerning that competition and PL seasons.

You can tell you don't watch football and get your theories on the Europa League from Talksport and Soccer Saturday pundits who've been clamouring for excuses as to why Liverpool and United have been crap in recent years.

Think that's a big reason the boss is trying to shift a huge amount of the main bottlers mate.

Next 4 games will tell us if there's owt to play for this season, win all 4 and close with those above and will get a whole lot more interesting.

I see the season in a different light: our league placing won't get significanltly better and the whole process won't tell us anything new about this squad given that the pressure is off in these final 16 games. The other side of the coin is that if we do get a place higher it will lead to the nightmare of EL football next season with a manager and team being rebuilt.

Meanwhile, I'm loving Koeman's factiness. Although I sense he sees an opportunity to push higher in the table, but doesn't want to say it.

Could it possibly be that a certain poster on here doesn't like the idea of watching Everton in European games and therefore games twice a week, because he can't actually watch the game on his screen and try and wind people up on here by typing guff at the same time? Don't think you're far away from the truth mate.

I have a sneaky feeling, and I may well be wrong, that the mods had a quiet word with Dave over the weekend and threatened him with a ban if he kept hijacking threads for his anti Koeman agenda. He hasn't been on any other threads since Saturday with the exception of the Deulefeu one where he, wait for it, criticised Koeman for poor man management!!.

So if Dave's posts wind you up so much (not directed at you personally Mite), just stay away from this thread. The rest of the forum appears to now be a Davek free zone

Only a 12 handicap, so he needs to work on his game. I suspect he's long off the tee, but a little inaccurate. Probably needs to work on his chipping. Very good at club selection though.
