You weren't there, you therefore didn't see exactly how the formation change gave us virtually immediate control of possession again, and we'd scored twice within minutes of him making the switch. So in short, you're chatting bubbles - yet again Dave."I’m happy that I changed the system at the time they had got it to 3-2, and we got the control back and scored some fantastic goals."
Lol.
Lukaku got us out of the brown stuff more like.
Is this feller setting himself up as a genius? 17 years in management - nothing major to show for it.
Barkley is doing nothing now he couldn't do at the beginning of the season - the only difference is a team playing with confidence and a cm performing better with the introduction of Davies and the return to form of McCarthy. They alleviate him to get on the ball further up the pitch.I'm one of, if not the biggest Barkley defender on here but he's better now than last. Statistically, last season maybe Dave but he is so much better, as an all round player, at this point in this season. We haven't even hit March and he's just so much better than last season.
Why? Well, it's simple. Actual coaching and the realisation that his place was under threat. As a few of us predicted, Koeman is the boss to get the best out of him - he's simply demanding that Ross does more while taking the pressure off him through Davies, Mirallas, Lookman and now even Schneiderlin, that is allowing him to play at his instinctive best.
He's getting there Dave, let's not use him as a weapon to debate the current and previous regimes.
Enjoy Roscoe.
Lol. Formation change. Go on, illuminate me - what went on....You weren't there, you therefore didn't see exactly how the formation change gave us virtually immediate control of possession again, and we'd scored twice within minutes of him making the switch. It's got beyond boring this now btw.

Anyone thinking the Dutchman has tweaked Barkley's game need to explain in detail what they mean by that, not just assert it as an article of faith.
He went to 3 at the back and we immediately looked more comfortable in possession as they'd built up a head of steam after Howe had changed their set up at HT and they'd got to grips with our set up and got the game back on a knife edge.Lol. Formation change. Go on, illuminate me - what went on....
Garbage Dave. Barkley was superb yesterday, tracking back making clean challenges, winning the ball and set up attacking plays off the back of it. His all round game has improved, he's no longer given licence to stroll around letting players run off him.Barkley is doing nothing now he couldn't do at the beginning of the season - the only difference is a team playing with confidence and a cm performing better with the introduction of Davies and the return to form of McCarthy. He's also fit. He's noticeably thinner. He's quicker.Garbage Dave. Barkley was superb yesterday, tracking back making clean challenges, winning the ball and set up attacking plays off the back of it. So basically you;re saying he allowed Howe to switch up at HT and only responded when we were back to 3-2 and staring at a draw by bringing on Holgate with 10 minutes left in the game.He went to 3 at the back and we immediately looked more comfortable in possession as they'd built up a head of steam after Howe had changed their set up at HT and they'd got to grips with our set up and got the game back on a knife edge.
As soon as Holgate came on, we looked far more comfortable on the ball with the 3 and we'd put them to sleep with 5 minutes of the change.
That's what happened Dave, your tedious agenda is driving you to become a parody of the decent poster you used to be mate. It's becoming tragic fella.
I mentioned that yesterday as I watched the game and they stifled the life out of Spurs. I think we have the players though mate who can create that one bit of quality to open them up and if we can get an early goal I think we'll be able to pick them off and come away with a 3-0 win.
Best games Barkley had was when he was part of a three man unit with Mirallas (when that loafer used to get his head down) and Lukaku, and they utterly lacerated most of the PL teams that we were up against.Garbage Dave.
