Ronald Koeman discussion

Yes it's down to the change in management. But their most influential players are mostly their cheapest buys. I dont think you understand what I was saying.

I would like Lukaku to stay with us, for as long as possible. But, if he is going to move soon, then it's not the end of the world if we get a big fee - And we reinvest smartly.

You do not sell the leagues top scorer and our best player for any money.

That's largely tactics mate, not the method adopted. Yes we are pressing much better than last season but it's what we do with the ball that's reverted to the way we played before Koeman. When we get it we make use of it by building moves, we don't just pump it forward as was the case under this feller until very recently. That's where the change has taken place. He's given these players their head and stopped stifling that. As said, Bolaises injury was crucial in that respect. But know this: next season that will change. Bolasie, his game and players like him are the future of this club and the style of play will reflect that. We have yet to see Koemans Everton. Anyone thinking this is it are not paying attention.

Ha ha. Is this the new line of attack Dave? We've seen the - only plays long ball football, doesn't play the youth, doesn't get on with players, can't get the best of Barkley, only defend better cos we don't score enough goals; arguments be dismissed one by one as the season has progressed.

Now we've moved onto - this isn't actually "his" Everton.

One can only stand back in awe of your commitment, Sir.

I, for one, applaud you.

Think Bainesy has become a much better defender with age, but it's been at the expense of his attacking prowess. I think he now struggles (compared with Seamus) in the WB role and I'd like to see a specialist brought in.

I think Coleman has benefitted from having more consistent people in front of him he has had Lennon, Deulofeu, Bolasie all right midfielders ahead whereas we haven't had many consistent left midfielders, we had, Barkley, Cleverley, Kone none of which played consistently on the left they always played more central and drifted. Baines has never had the same cover as the other side.

There's something a little bit unsettling about it all tbh.

I enjoy the football under koeman more than
I enjoyed the football under Martinez in the past two seasons.

People majorly over exaggerate our hoofing, which is kind of mad considering a load of our goals last two seasons came from defenders messing about on the ball and losing it because of this "football philosophy". So yes our defenders hit it up the field, so what? Thats our weakest area right now so I'd rather they did that.

Even so the emergence of schneiderlin, the players getting fitter and used to how koeman wants to play has lessened the long ball but honestly, the best teams mix it up as and when they need to, which we are starting to do.

Were clearly on the right path.

Also spurs were absolutely terrible after they sold bale and their fans were for a long time gutted about selling him and signing all those players.

Its only for how good a manager MP is that he managed go get a tune out of them after a few years, and even then he sold a few of the players they bought with the bale money.

I applaud him as well...he is genuinely entertaining and I've learned a lot of new phrases and idioms from reading his contributions.

Agenda agenda.

Attack: Going back to Fraudo's way.
Defence: Getting more bodies in defence than last season.

So it's that easy to discredit Koeman and it is this easy to improve the team. It's like play FM lol.
