Ronald Koeman discussion

It;s an amazing run of form mate. I am really surprised how well they are focussing and keeping on the points trail.

that said, and this is my hobby horse about this lot as you know, the games are non-pressurized. This lot are great technicians on the ball when left to it and aren't under the cosh of expectations. Place them in a pressurised environment and this run of form we're on would not have happened.

Next season (especially without the Lukaku security blanket) will be the real test.

In the event that Lukaku doesn't leave and plays next season what are you going to target for all your negative angst? I'm putting some dollar on Baines

7 points out of 30 we got between Bournemouth away September and Watford away early December.

Even if we had just averaged another 5/7 points I'd currently have us a favourite for a CL spot. Goes to show you how excellent the form has been since then because that was a torrid run of form.

Discipline, fitness and effort goes a long long way to winning games and that's what he's instilled.

That and Tom Davies the utter legend!!!!

Still gonna get smashed at Anfield. You can bet your life the likes of that defensive mistake from Williams in the first half will be punished.

Of course that's all true, it's all good and it's great to see the home form like it is. At the moment though we're not doing anything we didn't do in Moyes' best sides when bottom end teams would come to Goodison in the spring and Arteta Pienaar Cahill would just put them away routinely. I will believe that this team really is different when we improve our away form, improve our big game performance, and maintain this type of form over larger parts of the season.

I can see where you are coming from but the PL dynamic has changed since the Moyes days whereas Man City have joined the rich boys and Spurs have took the forward step. What you are saying is we are back on par with Moyes best teams and Koeman has not completed a full season yet. All the signs are he is not going to go with what he has got but he wants to go out and get better. We will lose big names along the way but we always have as with most teams. We are now into position again to challenge the rich boys after the slide of the previous 2 seasons. Yes Koeman has got to instill consistency and big game mentality into the players but this is not done overnight and hasn't been done since Kendalls heyday. Its a big job but no one can deny we are not back to the best of the rest knowing we will buy to strengthen in the summer. Things are looking up and we cannot use the glass ceiling as an excuse naymore (unless Moshiri is pulling the wool over our eyes). Its time to start getting a little excited knowing we may be gate crashing the rich boys party in the coming seasons.

Eh? We are rinsing teams atm. Quality these last few weeks has been poor oppo, granted. But I am not seeing a scared Everton side.

They're playing with smiles on their faces too. They really do look like they're having fun again.

It's been a while.

Plus, the confidence built up can't be too bad. Koeman won't want a repeat of Chelsea.
