Ronald Koeman discussion

He didn't need to win me over mate, I always said he was decent. My gripe with his signing has always been about the use of a large sum of cash spent on a position we were well catered for.

Well catered for? We had 2 fit CMs on Saturday one of which is an 18 year old lad. Schneiderlin went down and his only replacement is 36 year old Barry? McCarthy is never fit, Cleverley was punted for being average, who knows what Koeman thinks of Besic when he is fit. Schneiderlin was essential.

...what, only TWO CMs available? How many d'you want? I know Koeman likes to go with 4 at times like, but....

A steady eddie 62-65 point season is the likelihood.

No good to any club looking to get their noses in the CL trough.
Better than 47 though like the last two seasons, right? Jumping from a midtable clown show with no fitness to CL overnight is a huge ask for anyone. This season had to be an improvement and stabilising season far away from the button half of the table.

Clutching at straws now. 2 fit midfielders and one of them is a kid who is now having to play every single game. We don't need that peak age French international though....

As said...steady eddie.

He's improved us in th fact we now beat the dross below us but nothing more, Out of both cups to two awful sides and still miles off competing with the big boys

simply put, injuries have derailed any CL ambitions (which, let's be honest, were slightly fantastical to begin with). A fair bit of transfer business is required in the off season.

Two CMs like Gueye and Davies should be enough in all but the bigger games.
