Ronald Koeman discussion

Let's hope so Mac, none of us are getting any younger ;)

I am Andy but I can't give my secrets away as it's a special formula and ensures that at some point in the next 1000 years I'll see Everton win something.

Apart from that though, he's made some mistakes has our Ronald and I'm not 100% sold on everything he does but I must admit I absolutely love his no nonsense take no crap talk no crap approach.

We've made small steps in the right direction and I think we'll make some more this summer. I don't think we are as far away as people say. Sort the away from out, become more resilient on the road, sprinkle some more creativity and grab a couple of proven winners and hungry players and we'll be okay.

I base the above on Lukaku and Barkley leaving as well mate, I've no time for anyone who doesn't want to play for Everton football club so I'd be more than happy for Everton to cash in if its for the good of the club in the long run

Already looking forward to next season ;)

He got us 8 points behind United with a far inferior squad. 7th is the best we could had hoped four, with our squad. A new GK, CB, 2AM and another forward could allow us to push for a top 6 place. But when you look at the quality above us, it's going to take serious investment to crack the top 4.
Well it still doesn't excuse some of the awful performances, it doesn't mean he's an awful manager, just that we can still do a lot better. As I said before, some of our performances away from home were unforgivable, Watford, Southampton, Swansea, Liverpool, West Ham, Bournemouth and today. He's done half the job getting us playing well at home, all he needs to do improve away from home. Everton fans should never regard some of the performances as acceptable. He has been let down by certain players this season and hopefully he'll get rid of them and bring in better players.

I'm not suggesting there isn't room for improvement, as you clearly state those performances were clearly unacceptable. But then again we did beat arsenal and city at home and only lost to Chelsea and Liverpool. That home form is going to be difficult to replicate next year, but our away performances and results will clearly be a focus.

If somebody said at the start of the season that we'll finish 7th, beat some of the teams above us at home, qualify for Europe and finish 15 points ahead of 8th, I'd have taken that.

Unless you're first, you can 'always do better', but realistically, we made excellent progress based on the shambles of the last 2 seasons.

Our away form has been poor all season. That needs to be improved.
In context though, considering that and the fact we haven't won at Arsenal in 21 years, I'm not going to be absolutely furious that we didn't win today. Disappointed yes, but did anyone really expect we'd win today? Yeah, I feel for those who traveled down, but other than pride, the club really had nothing to play for whilst Arsenal did.

We started to get rid of the deadwood in January, brought in some good new players, and now it will be full speed ahead with more of the same in the summer.

There's really no point moaning too much now. I just hope the Barkley and Lukaku situations get settled asap so we can all move on and prepare for next season.

He's got to get our away form sorted next season, 4 away wins all season (and 2 of those wins came in the first 4 games of the start of the season) is woeful to say the least.

I think he knows, almost every away game he's been annoyed with them not turning up. It's a pure Everton thing that, he needs to address that in the summer big time

We have been utter crap since Koeman has been stricter with his 4-3-3 formation. We were performing much better when Barkley and Davies were alternating on the wings and providing the occasional support in the middle while Mirallas played more as a support than a winger as he is now. Mirallas offers much more in the middle than out on the wing. Yes, Coleman getting injured did us no favors. He is trying to force square pegs into round holes now and it hasn't come off at all. Maybe he is trying to send a message to the board? idk
