Ronald Koeman discussion

We went through similar in November / December last year.

We'll be fine.

Correct... as soon as we came up against a hard run of fixtures... we hit a bad run and picked up hardly any points in about 10 games. The performances were also bad , but it was his first season etc... however it doesn't look like we have improved against the decent teams despite spending money.... I'm dreading the derby again this year

Tel.....I am dreading the Derby in 2027, never mind 2017 :pint2:

I think parts of this are right, but, at the end of the day, he's the manager. He decides how he wants the team to perform on the pitch. If they don't do as he instructs, play someone else. He's made a ton of changes but there are certain players who seem to play regardless. He did this at Southampton, he did it last year. I think if this happens again this year, at the start of the season none the less, he'll be out on his rear. You can't just write off 10+ games a season every year trying to find your feet. Not when you are in the top 10 in WORLD FOOTBALL for salary paid.

I agree with this. Its very early in the season, I cant understand why he does not play Lookman more as he has the pace we need
Sandro needs benching its obvious he is poop and Martina also, I feel it is going to be a long season with January only seeing the departure of Barklay and an 18 year old prospect brought in

The Derby!!!

Bahahahaha

Wah wah wah.....the reason we are where we are is that the teams above us spend a lot more money than us and have better players.

We have had a load new players, at least give them a chance to bed in.

Yes it is not nice to see, yes we have to go through some pain sometimes, but I predict the panic will soon be over.
But only one of our back six from tonight, seven if include Stek, is a new player to the club and at least he is already familiar with the league.

I could slightly understand it if our only problems were lack of scoring and creativity (although after buying several #10s creativity shouldn't really be an issue). But we've lost our defensive shape. Sure some of the players are older but multiple managers have overcome that by getting the organization right and working with the players in practice until they know exactly who is covering which area/player - Pulis is a master of it.

I absolutely loved him as a player, I was very pleased that we got him in as manager. Now, in the words of Walter Smith, I am very disappointed. He seems to be out of touch with the players, and, for a manager/coach (delete as appropriate), to spend as much time playing golf, as "Ronko" does, when he obviously has big problems at work, in his 6 million a year job, I think, perhaps, that is a little disrespectful to the club. Have a word Mr. moshiri.

That's th thing I loved abouts Moyes.... you knew that if things weren't going well... that Moyes was working harder than anyone to try and correct it... Ronnie doesn't seem to give a flying fox... he's not even in the country 4 days of the week ffs
