LOL ok! if you insist, not going to argue such pointless debates like that.

Looks like you have made your mind up already. After 2 years of dross under Martinez we made progress, that is not really in any dispute.

Suffice it to say we were not in this state of disarray at the same stage of Bobby's tenure as we are now, Tom.

Even you cannot deny that, innit ;)

You'd be better of excepting it mate. Even if you only do so very begrudgingly, he won't get the sack, Martinez was a dead man walking for mouths before he finally got the bullet. Should we string together a few results in the following games after Utd then he'll be as safe as houses. It doesn't matter what either you or I want he won't be even close to getting the sack.

......and.....er.......supposin'.......just supposin' .......should we not "string together a few results in the following games after Utd" will he still be "safe as houses"?

(Bearing in mind if we don't beat Bournemouth we will most likely be in the bottom three and anyone fancying us to beat Burnley right now wants their heads read.......they have, after all, taken four away points off've two of those super teams whom many on here think we should discount from the point gathering side of things and only judge the state of play when we play the cannon fodder )

You know the answer to that as well as I do :)

what i find puzzling it started so well..

goalkeeper absolute priority...right lets get the best young english goalkeeper there is, similar with centre half...then it all went wrong!

Let's face it, Neil.

The warning signs were there when the first name we were linked with when the last season ended was Southamton's third choice full back.

We all thought it was a joke......but we ain't laughing now

He still won't get sacked. You must see this mate. We have quite possibly the most Indecisive group of people to ever run a football club running us. Your only going to make it harder on yourself if your waiting for a sacking that won't come. We'll drag our heels over any sacking decision for mouths.

Its all dead weird and mixed up to me.

Lets accept the fact that our squad is packed with decent footballers, in the main. Mostly PL ready.

Koeman is a known quantity in England. He did "ok" at Southampton, better than Poch actually.

If he has an issue with relationships, (rumoured), and he falls out with (many) footballers, in the PL bubble, that would be known about. But Rooney, Keane, Pickford et al joined us.

But the fact is, we look dreadful, and it all cant be pinned on not replacing Rom properly.

Search me.

You lost me right there, Gwladys :(

If, as is very possible, we are bottom three by the time Burnley leave Goodison going into the next international break then Mr. Koeman will be history round these parts.

Stop torturing yourself by thinking it won't happen ;)
I'm afraid it's you who's torturing yourself if you seriously think that the powers that be at Goodison would ever take such swift action. They probably spend the first hour of every board meeting taking a vote on if they should thank the tea lady or not! The incompetent fools who run this club will drag their heels for mouths on such a decision.

I'm still not quite in the Koeman out club yet (though I'm very close atm) but id rather the club made a decision sooner then later.;)

Lookman was awful in his last game. RK rightly has given him a break from the pressure.
Maybe he was trying to protect the lad but for me, he's way too knee jerk. Holgate being swapped out for Martina is an example. It seems to me that, with so many new players, he should stick to a fairly regular first XI and gradually introduce new players, yea, we'll still get battered here and there but it seems like a better way of getting the team to gel, as opposed to changing a ton of players, the formation and the tactics every single game with players who don't know each other.
