Ronald Koeman discussion

Better from the players until he ruined it all with some bad choices for the substitutions. Rooney should have been the first off.

The subs weren't awful.

The weird one was Davies going off.

End of the day though, Koeman can't put those chances that Rooney and Gyfli missed away.

Though it was nice signing players, we didn't need all of them, we are overloaded in some position and have hardly any in other positions. At the end of the day that's Koemans fault, apart from Sandro we don't really have an out and out striker and his start here has been poor, I still keep thinking give Niasse ago because what's being tried at the moment is the worst I've seen in years.

We've played 7/8 competitive games so far this season and I'm yet to see ANY improvement on last season.

Infact we've gone backwards. These performances are worse than Martinez' last season in charge.

Utterly embarrassing to watch right now. You can't blame the fixture list, the Europa etc.....

The performances are gutless, lacking ideas, hoof ball, awful errors, the list goes on. Losing Lukaku isn't the reason we are so pathetic ! He's decent but he's not a great player. There is zero drive, zero movement, no energy, confidence. Nothing !

That falls on Koeman and his staff. He's stated time and again that he wanted to share the goals scored with the entire team and not one individual. He's brought in goal scoring midfielders, without a clue in how to utilize those players and failed to bring in a goal scoring forward. It's nothing short of a disgrace and very poor management.

Koeman has two games to save his job now, simple.

I don't want him to go, and don't think he should this early, but he keeps making decisions that aren't helping us win games.

That, combined with mistakes from players really lacking confidence, is meaning we just aren't clicking.

I don't see why winning 2 or 3 games against inferior opposition should have any bearing on him retaining his job

Wed 20th Sunderland
Sat 23rd Bournemouth
Thu 28th Apollon Limassol
Sun 1st Burnley

Next 4 games, all at home, he gets the results and saves his job, he fails and loses his job, somehow he is lucky since i think we will get the results (wins) and he keeps his job

While I agree with the principle, Koeman can't put the ball in the back of the net mate.

Rooney and Gylfi - two proven goalscorers - missed genuine sitters for us today.

We have lost our two best attacking players and had some really difficult fixtures though... I think it's understandable to an extent.

You say Lukaku is a decent player. Bloody hell, he's an absolute goal machine. We'd be happy with half the player up top.

Dress that up how you want but Utd had us at arms length the entire game, they were just waiting until they could be bothered and just turned it up a notch.

What formation were we supposed to be playing at the end? I saw DCL, Sandro, Mirallas and Gylfi all kind of just wondering around.

I don't know where our next goal is coming from, never mind our next win. It's painful watching their heads drop when they concede.

I don't think sacking Koeman now will help at all, but I am concerned.

Why should getting a few results against that rubbish save him?
