Ronald Koeman discussion

I heard a fan on 5 live comparing our situation to the Martinez one. I think we are some way from that situation. I remember last season we went on a 10 game winless run with the getting beat by teams such as. Bournemouth, Swansea and Watford along the way. These teams included Barkley and Lukaku so the problem presently isn't a simple one to solve. I admit we have a problem presently but squad wise we are in better shape now than in previous years. It may take until Christmas again for Koeman to find the correct recipe and I agree the team requires more shape but we need to stick together and I'm confident we will win the Bournemouth game. I also hope kenny gets an opportunity on Wednesday to stake his claim as our 1st choice right back.

There's plenty to moan about mate, and I'm an optimist really.

Koeman's tactics at the start for me were negative, but actually the way it played out we did well.

They won the game because they showed the composure our two most experienced attackers lacked.

When we were on top, what did we achieve?

Lots of Barcaesque passes around, simple 10 years balls on the ground which annoyed united. Ironically klaassen may have done well with this style...lol

But how many times did we hurt united? Yes we had a couple of good chances, but every team in the league has a couple of good chances per game...

Lots of tippy tapping but no pace to get past the last defender and no one dribbling through their defence..just a couple of good chances whilst they knocked in 4.

I don't disagree with you at all Zat.

I thought Klaassen would have been a good sub as well.

Went behind to a stunner, rode out a storm and in all fairness for 60 minutes we gave as good as we got. They had two more chances, we had two great chances.

But then it all fell apart.

It's a real worry. He needs to turn it around or he'll go, and nobody will be arsed.

Quite a few seasons we did crap in the first half of season...people calling his head and we got 6th and 7th in the end.

I know picking up 4 points in 5 games is extremely bad but Chelsea, Man C and Man U away...is not a fair way to judge, yet.

They are tough games alright. We were unlucky at City but three spineless capitulations in a week has me very worried.Today had better be our rock bottom moment for this season.

I think pre Williams's error we were ok...much better than the last 3 matches. We lack a clinical finisher though.

Would love Koeman getting results from now on.

Well, I did say I didn't want him and I did warn everyone :o

Think Unsworth should be promoted myself and walsh in charge of transfers, perhaps that's the idea at the end of koemans deal

Thought the fans were great today, really got behind the team:)
Well done to those that travelled.
I can understand the anguish at present felt by everyone but those fans and many, many more will support the team whatever.
Managers, good and bad, will move on, but the club will always be there.
It's in my blood now, so I reckon I will stick around for a good while longer.

Martinez lost the players by that time. But even then apart from the Sunderland game and the derby, it was never this embarrassing.
