Ronald Koeman discussion

I really can't believe we finally got some money in and handed control to this guy. This is all currently a wasted opportunity and just time lost.

He will get some results and turn this around, but he shouldn't even have been in there in the first place. First step in a supposed new era and it stank of no ambition.

I can only assume they went for a safe pair of hands to stabilise us, as it really worries me for the next appointment if whoever was involved in choosing him actually thought they were getting a really good manager to take us up a level.

Every appointment is a gamble, but we just went for the sure thing.....as in sure to keep us up and around the best of the rest and no more.

I want to repeatedly kick Everton in the balls.

The questions are;

1 -- Was Koeman forcing players in...such as Cuco, Klaassen etc and Moshiri allowed this - not really. Klaassen was a target of both, and will be good/useful for us. He isn't a bad player, this notion he is needs to stop. Martina is fine when used properly (as he was today) - albeit I'd prefer Kenny.

2 -- Has Koeman rejected players who walsh has put forward, and if he has, why - I don't believe so. And having found out something rather worrying lately (if true) both Koeman and Walsh have been let down in terms of a majorly key acquisition.

3 -- Even with a forward and another defender we went after some strange signings, what is the strategy - this is true

Admittedly it was one game that Wesley Hoedt who we were linked with and went to Southampton looked a decent player good on the ball pacey not sure why we didn't follow it up

Martinez lost the players by that time. But even then apart from the Sunderland game and the derby, it was never this embarrassing.
You have just mentioned something, that as daft as it may sound, is so blindingly obvious I hadn't thought about it.
Yes, it's embarrassing. That is what I think is peeing everybody off. Before the season started quite a few neutrals thought we would do well. I've got to face them tomorrow and my embarrassment will be obvious.

Not sure why we didn't play the same side that did well against city? Constantly changing the side is just showing how clueless he is.

We are stuck with many players who A aren't good enough and B some don't even want to be here

For me he's bought the wrong players and not bought enough players in different positions. Not enough pace, height, youth, or technical ability

However nothing we can do about that.. but atleast get your team and formation sorted!! Constantly changing it and not knowing your best team is a serious worry

I really thought we showed promise until the 2nd goal. He obviously got the Rooney sub wrong. I thought he should've took Williams off for Mirallis and just gone for it. It's incredibly frustrating at the moment. The trouble is now there is alot of pressure on them for the Bournemouth game.

Davies should start next weekend. Rooney, Sig and I would say Lookman in attack but Koeman doesn't seem to rate him.

It was our best performance of the season today the mistake by williams was shocking up to that point we were in the game, the worry is we concede 3 times in 8 minutes. Thought Davies played really well, Rooney too, the last 10 minutes made it horrendous.. Koeman needs to learn fast
