Ahh another classic blame the fans shout. Love it.
Take it you've never had to manage a challenging situation or manage an organisation through adversity?

Is it not obvious that almost a total new team, lack of new striker (out of Koeman's control) plus the fixture list we were given was always going to be extremely challenging

Need to support the team while they ride it out

The problem here is the fans rather than the manager - small minded, short termist couch potatoes who will get stuck in at the first sign of of bad run, compounding the negativity, when actually what the team, and manager needs to get out of this situation is some strong support.....

One of the best strikers we've had statistically has been Romelu Lukaku - underappreciated and criticised by the fan base - who then wonder why he rubbed in his goal celebration on his return

Martinez deserved the criticism in the end and was kept in a year too long - he'd been given plenty of time however. Koeman hasn't had time yet - lots of change in the team and a tough fixture list which isn't getting any easier - Lyon, Arsenal, Chelsea coming up....

Who would you replace him with? David Unsworth? (with respect, total gulf in terms of experience). It was hard enough to get him in and a replacement of the same callibre would be hard to come by. People wanted Lukaku out and then discover how hard it is to attract and land a quality replacement

The best thing fans can do is support Koeman and the team - provide the positivity to help turn results around. Buying a striker and center back in Jan will help the cause...

Tough fixture list?? That Cyprus team, Burnley, atalanta, Bournemouth n- Our performance was shocking against these - not helped by koemans insistance on 2 defensive mids every game and no wing play.

Ancelotti or Tuchel would be an incredible appointment, but I can’t see either of them buying into the “project” with the squad currently at their disposal.

Mate I know not many would agree with me to stick with Koeman. I saw him last season. I saw him turn a Martinez team and make them play with confidence and solidity at the back.

This is his 1st season with his assembled team. In that time he lost the focal point in Lukaku and not being replaced. He needs to be criticsed for prioritising some of the signings he made but he does not play on the field when our players take the cowards route. You see Gana and Schneiderlin and both of them are shadow of a players to last season. How many of last year's players do you see playing well this year? Our attack is totally new. I would be more worried if the players have lost faith in him. That does not seem to be true. The fear element is there to see, the heightened expectations are affecting us and in this moment one negative element kills the team. Even if we sack him now we won't get anywhere more than a top half finish. So atleast give him this season like we did for Martinez. Then we can make a better decision, thinking about other replacement options. Apart from Unsy or Moyes we won't get anyone better.

That doesn't really indicate you see him as a good enough manager to do anything more than what we saw last season. What have you seen to suggest it?

As for me there's no point showing patience in a very poor run of form/results/performances if there's no indication that he can achieve anything special here.

Also, I don't think our defensive performances were anything special last season. Being an improvement on went before was not much of a task, but I think it was more down to the defensive setup of the team in general. The actual defensive performances were nothing to write home about. We were still early got at down the flank and were weak as water on set pieces. Not one of our centre backs had what you could call a good season.

We are in a bad place if we can't get anybody better than Ronald Koeman as manager. I still can't believe we had him as our first choice. Totally underwhelming at the time, and extremely boring right now.

I was slaughtered for saying I'd sooner have Moyes over Koeman.

Probably quite rightly...

Still, I'm not convinced Moyes would have done any worse - certainly not in the transfer market anyway.

/scarpers ducking and diving.

I would have laughed at you (or spat on your back as Alan partridge says) - but if we had moyes at the season start it's hard to see how he could do any worse than koeman has.

Actually I have, big time.
