Ronald Koeman discussion

As much as it feels unlikely right now I do hope he sorts us out soon.

I have nothing personal against Koeman and just want what’s best for Everton.

If somehow he manages to fix this I’d be happy.

I do like the sentiment, his character and personality are of the type that this will keep on happening. He alienates players and you simply cannot do that on the level Koeman does, it creates divisions in the dressing room.

He's as big a fraud as they come, getting by on reputation. Even the fact her had a 15 game streak at Southampton and finished 7th was more to do with the league being incredibly weak that season, 15 games is atrocious.

Runs like this will happen over and over, it is simply not something us fans should have to endure on a yearly basis. And I believe under Koeman we will.

Let's hope he sorts it out though hey?

Yeah and we'll be playing the Chavs, Utd, City and Spurs in every set of 7 games.

Drama queens the lot of you ffs.

You'd have all needed counselling if you'd have been around in the early 90's ffs.

I was around early 90's, sure a lot were. Different game and different circumstances completely. As I'm sure you know, but you're obviously a die hard and the rest of us can get what we are given and deal with it. Well NO!!

He delivered our best home form in PL history last season, off the back of our worst season of home form under Brown Shoes the prior season.

He did a very good job last year, don't try and re-write history to suit your agenda which has always been anti.

Well, if you think the long barren run last autumn was "very good"......exiting both cups at almost (....thanks @Mikey_Fitzgerald ) the first hurdle was "very good".....the reprise of the autumn shambles come the spring was "very good".....the usual tummy tickling at the "big clubs" (United excepted) was "very good".....finishing an albeit improved but still remote 7th and finishing in front of no team Moshiri would "expect" us to finish behind is "very good" then fair enough.

Now, if you can point out what part of that paragraph is "re-writing history" then go to the top of the class and collect a Crackerjack pencil.

Because they are stone cold facts, my friend.

That you choose to bury your head in the sand and ignore them is your own look out.....but be assured, our current travails are merely a continuation of the downward trajectory we have been on since we reached the heady heights of 2nd in the league after three games last season.

This season, without the cushion of a very good start, we are right down among the strugglers and if last year's precedent set by Koeman, indeed even that was pressaged at Saints the season before, is repeated then any sane Evertonian is fearful right now....very fearful :(

Wake up and smell the rain, sir.

Different game? What was different about it? It was the PL and we were absolute gash, stinking out Goodison under HK in his 3rd spell and then that moron Walker. You were probably nuzzling on yer Ma's tit judging by your maturity level. Which returning banned poster are you btw, as I'm losing track?

We didn't go out first round of the milk cup mate, we beat Yeovil 4-0

To be fair Martinez delivered our highest points total in premier league era and it didn't stop him changing the style over the summer and the team nosediving as a result.

That is the glaring siren to fans right now. Koeman has changed the style of the team and seemingly hasn't signed players to play that style. The system doesn't work and he insists it's down to the players when every fan and pundit out there sees the reality of it.

The other glaring issue is that we are going to be trial and error for the foreseeable if Sunday is anything to go by. Trying to find the right team and right tactics. Which is fine for a club used to mid table wanting to progress, not for a team investing 140 million and 6 weeks into the season.

For me personally if we had a system which we were backing then it's something yo get behind. Players can grow into the system and a tough start can be turned around. Except we aren't doing that. Rotating so many players suggests after a whole summer koeman hasn't got a clue what team to play and who his best 11 are. After a season in charge 7 should be nailed down at least. We have width but they don't play, we pack the midfield but have nothing in the final third, we have 7 defensive players and leak goals.

Yeah unfortunately football is played home and away! Our away form was very poor last season. We got knocked out of both cup competitions early. No one's rewriting history he only did an okay job last season no more, no less.
