What I cannot understand why play Martina out of position at LB and Holgate at Rb. Surely it would have made more sense to keep Martina at RB and play Holgate at LB?????

When was the last time we had a cheerful post match report, or something to be proud of?
Today's headlines should have been something like, "Koeman sacked, despite Everton win".
Instead, the headlines are about some thick idiot throwing punches at a player! Oh, and we also lost, again. Sad times :confused:

I think it would've made more sense to not play Martina at all.

We spend £250 million plus and Koeman's answer is to play hoofball. We could have done that under Allardyce for a hell of a lot less. The guy is a disgrace, and if the board isn't going to get their act together and sack him then it's time for the fans to make it clear that he has to go.

How many games does he get say we lost to Chelsea and the Arse? He'd be bounced out now for me but it will take alot more for Mish and BK to lose faith.

Martina has played LB in the past and indicated when we signed him that he can play that way in the future. Now play it well...

Ok...I'm going to play devil's advocate here for a second...

...last night, he actually played some different guys and tried to show some sort of adjustment. We were considerably more aggressive, we had a lot more pace, and even looked dangerous at times in attack. Took him quite some time to change up the lineup, but I think he FINALLY has learned who needs to play.

However, he knows we are screwed in Europe and that he needed to play Williams at some point and rest Baines.

But he is going to refocus the team (I'm really struggling here...) on the league and come out with Kenny/Keane/Jags/Baines with Gana/Davies in front of them, Lookman/Siggy/Mirallas (maybe Vlasic), and Niasse (maybe Rooney) up front and we are going to hammer the Gunners 2-0.

He has LEARNED from his mistakes and is finally going to give up his stubborn insistence on playing Rooney and Siggy behind a Target Man because DCL cannot be that guy and we don't have another.

Free pass these next two games.

Lose at Leicester the his neck will be in the noose.

Failure to beat Watford at home and the trapdoor is sprung.

But if we beat Watford the Koeman saga continues for at least another fortnight as there is yet another international break.

IMO this nightmare still has a bit to go yet.
