Ronald Koeman discussion

Ok...I'm going to play devil's advocate here for a second...

...last night, he actually played some different guys and tried to show some sort of adjustment. We were considerably more aggressive, we had a lot more pace, and even looked dangerous at times in attack. Took him quite some time to change up the lineup, but I think he FINALLY has learned who needs to play.

However, he knows we are screwed in Europe and that he needed to play Williams at some point and rest Baines.

But he is going to refocus the team (I'm really struggling here...) on the league and come out with Kenny/Keane/Jags/Baines with Gana/Davies in front of them, Lookman/Siggy/Mirallas (maybe Vlasic), and Niasse (maybe Rooney) up front and we are going to hammer the Gunners 2-0.

He has LEARNED from his mistakes and is finally going to give up his stubborn insistence on playing Rooney and Siggy behind a Target Man because DCL cannot be that guy and we don't have another.

Overall he's spent £200mill and doesn't have a player to build a side around or a playmaker

Free pass these next two games.

Lose at Leicester the his neck will be in the noose.

Failure to beat Watford at home and the trapdoor is sprung.

But if we beat Watford the Koeman saga continues for at least another fortnight as there is yet another international break.

IMO this nightmare still has a bit to go yet.
Even if we lose the next two by big margins and perform absolute crap?

Sorry but you're deluding yourself. See his comments about playing hoofball! Also it's clear he played that line up because he's saving his favoured style/players for Sunday.

I have got a horrible feeling that I can't shake that he's going to be here at least until the end of the season and the higher ups will write it off as a 'transitional' season.
That'd be a very forbearing Board; the Championship is a difficult division and I personally would not be as sanguine as you purport the Board would be ,vis-a-vis promotion back to PL.

I feel a bit sorry for RK as i dont like seeing anyone under that much stress. Have been practically praying for a turnaround but there is just no getting away from the fact is that we are playing the worst football we have played in many years, he has a worse record than Martinez, not won away in the premier league since last January, Sitting 16th in the table just 2 points above relegation, still hasn't got a plan, still hasn't got a regular starting 11, almost out of the Europa League only half way through group stage with one of our poorest showings ever and comfortably beaten by a lesser team/s, Club has been charged twice by Fifa, players lowering themselves to mass brawls on the field, idiotic supporter/s trying to assault opposing players, lost a lot of the supporters.....But he has Moshiri's support. Couldn't make it up. The supporters deserve far better than this nonsense.

The situation we are in takes some believing when you consider the promise, optimism and excitement of the summer. It is like we have been transported to an alternative reality.

The board will probably wait till we are out of everything and with a mountain to climb in the table before acting which will leave the season effectively over.

Some of the crap in this thread is embarrassing. A couple of bad months and people are saying we're villa under Lerner, getting relegated etc. Jesus Christ, why does everyone think we're going to get relegated everytime we have a bad patch.

Because the team are playing with no fight (well i suppose there was a bit of fight last night, but it was of the headless chicken variety) no bottle no sense of organisation no structure etc. Were going into matches beaten before the first whistle.16th in the league and facing an early exit from europe. This is a serious situation.Im sorry Jack but your blase everything is going to be alright attitude is a major part of the problem here. This man is ripping the heart and soul out of this football club.

Yip.

That we are going to perform in those two games “crap” is a given.

But unfortunately, in the new normal these are “expected losses” so no pressure on Koeman there.....especially as one is a cup tie and not sommat Moshiri is particularly interested in if it is going to distract us from his main, I would say only, objective.

Which is staying in the EPL until the new stadium arrives.

He could always walk away himself if he's that stressed
