Ronald Koeman discussion

Just hope people don't go into meltdown when we inevitabley lose next week.

Getting us to where we want to be is going to take time and more investment. So far largely so good

I don't think it is is "inevitable" that we will lose but if we do, it will be the manner of it which will provoke any meltdown.

If we give it a good go and go down fighting then only the recreationally disgruntled, of which we have many on here alas :(, will fume.

But if it is a dull, defensive display which comes unstuck near the end after we have been through the wringer for 80 minutes then let the fume begin

But we have money don't we!?

So do Man City...Bayern and others but theyre scooping up the u21 talent.

Now we have Walsh and also a progressive reserves manager in Unsworth + Big name Koeman we should try to sign some and develop them. Surely a better option than Schalke...

Also although its scotland, Dembele has done well and we should have signed him in the summer.

You're being very tough on Geri there but I agree with you.

For me he should be in the Ronaldo class by now.

Too many fluffy dog and fluffy girlfriend tweets and not enough application, bulking up and knuckling down.

The biggest underachiever in the team at the moment IMO

Perhaps he just needs a run of games....always done well for us when played consistently.

But Man City and Bayern know that the pressure isn't on those youngsters straight away - as they have world class players in their prime where it counts.

We're not in a position to go with youth for the duration. We needed players in their prime to improve us straight away and that's what they've done. Simple.

If you look back, i did say that these players should come in and be developed...starting from the bench etc.

Just as an example, we could sign a u21 forward or winger and they could be brought in gradually...

Something still not right by a long way. Difficult to describe but our play is too static even with the likes of Bolaisse, Lukaku and Gueye.
Far too many other players do not seem athletic enough. We pass then stop then turn then pass by which time the opposition have recovered back. We don't glide across the ground we stutter. Not enough players getting ahead of Lukaku often enough. We managed it a few times late on today when Gueye and even Barkley got ahead of him but by that time West Ham were gone.

Waheyyyyy Ronky's super Ev doing bits
